And Steam Worshop? Holy cow!
Event editor and Steam Workshop !
Yes !
"And there was much rejoicing - though not so much among the thralls. " :P
I started using the conversation editor, it's a nice little tool, intuitive and simple.
I have several questions concerning it, would one bother to answer them.
- Is it possible to change the vanilla dialogues by modifying the .xml files in /Original_Dialogue and pasting them elsewhere?
- Can you make any NPC become a follower? A lover? I saw interesting nodes suggesting that.
- I'm not sure about the exporting process. If you just export the event and no localization, will it still read the default english or do you have to export english localization in any case?
Only random events can be modified structurally. For other types of conversation, you can change the text by creating a custom localisation, but you cannot change their structure.
You can create new random events to make any party member a lover. Since you can't modify the structure of regular conversations however, you cannot turn an NPC into a party member.
If you've changed any of the text, you must export the localisation as well. Otherwise it should read the default localisation for whatever language the player has selected, and any new nodes you've added that use localised text will show up as a GUID.
An extra question I forgot to ask, if I may :
I saw that you can use a "increase morale" node with boosts like "small" or "large". Could tell how what is the numerical boost of these options?
Medium = 2
Large = 3
Huge = 4
Enormous = 5
Can't wait to see what game or updates you guys come out with next
