So I am guessing my the intimidation of my ship played a part in that. Its also reasonable that speed would play part in whether or not one could flee sucessfully or not.
the least bad can happen to that, based on the events I have seen.
-small cargo means you can lose significant cargo during one of the events.
-low threat means you can't ward off other attacking vessels, and 2 Hird inevitably get moderate injuries.
you could also go fast speed instead of medium or high intimidation, but I don't think there was a high speed, medium cargo option.
if there is, then that might be even better.
high speed, low intimidation, medium cargo.
then you can just outrun everyone and still not worry about losing cargo.
