Gain clan power
I know you need clan power to trigger the invasion of England Event, but beyond improving your village how do you get it? I looked at the improvements you can make and improvements alone only get you 92 clan power. I think you need 100 for the invasion to trigger. Also I did not by enough wood in Ribe to cover all the improvements and everybody hates me in Northumbria (understanble since I've been a raider), where can I get wood without going back to Ribe>

I think I ended on 91. The only way to do it seems to be build both the stronghold and folkmoot paths and then max out all the +power buildings.

And is that the only way to start invasion quest ?

To invade you need faction power.

I've only build power buildings, but darn, I'm long since out of thralls. I wish I could capture soldiers and turn them into thralls.

So I cant invade if I get into internal conflicts of either Saxons or Picts ?

You can complete one or both of the Saxon/Pict quest chains to open up the border village.
You then can choose to side with Saxons/Picts and complete their quest. Have the feast with them to formalise the alliance and win the Moot.
Or if you have 100 power you can betray them at the feast. And conquer Britain to win the Moot.
Or at the border village instead of siding with Saxons/Picts you can side with the locals and beat them both. And conquer Britian.
Or if you run out of time you can still get through the Moot with 100 prosperity.

I have maxed out the Folkmoot, my only power source, and only have 40 power! What do I do?
Slim Shady May 4, 2017 @ 6:19pm
Thanks that clears things up xD So I have to go either prosperity or power all the way in quests and buildings and if I start mixing stuff I have to go for deal with either Picts or Saxons.

Btw what is the moot ?

How do I get 100 power? I''ve built all the power improvements and only have 92.

I don't know what quests or decisions do it, but certain decisions you make in quests will raise or lower your Prosperity or Power. For instance, one of the ways to end the "Kill the Rats" quest in Ribe will lower your Prosperity.

Anyways, to be completely and utterly pedantic, Saxons are the people from Saxony, south of Jutland/mainland Denmark. When the Saxons invaded Britain in the mid-450s they mostly colonized south England from London in the east to the tip of Cornwall in the west. Northumbria (south-east Scotland and north England) and Mercia (central England) was colonized by the Angles from Jutland. The Angles were from roughly the area around Ribe, or maybe a little further south. Morcant even refers to his people as Angles when you first meet him.

When the kingdoms of England all merged together (except Northumbria/Jorvik) in the early 900s, the people began to be referred to as Anglo-Saxons, in respect to the merging of the two peoples. And then of course after the Norman conquest in 1066 (the Normans themselves being French speaking Norse who had settled in Northern France instead of Britain) the people would eventually go on to become the English we know today.

For the record, this also means the people of Lowalnds Scotland (ie south east Scotland) are technically Anglo-Saxon, while the rest of Scotland (highlands) are descended more from the Picts and the Gaels of Dal Riata, a kingdom created in western Scotland by Irish immigrants.

So I guess the questions we would like to ask is how Saxons and Angles and Normans gather the 100 power required for invasion of britain :P

But I think the answer is just your lil quest decisions, often you can send ppl either back home or to orkeynjar. So I guess you have to send them to Orkenjar instead.

EDIT: btw from what i understand Normans were simply VIkings, who out of greed turned christian werent they ?
