Conquer Britain

I waited until there was only one week left but my army wasn't ready yet.

What can I do to speed up the process? O.o

During the Denmark campaign buy all the wood in Ribe using the money from the king's grave and get them to chop up the boat for 200 valuables. Once you get to the British campaign upgrade the market once so you have access to a merchant that sells thralls and then focus on buildings that increase clan power using thralls to speed up construction. Take over Orkney early and whenever you get the option, ask people to join you there to help with the army.

Hmm... so far I got the workers from the roman camp and the two I rescued from the picts.

I build everything at home and have wealth 107 and strength 97 atm.

This is the savegame 2weeks before allthing.

Am I able to conquer northumbria in that time?

Probably not. I ended up in the same situation, game over. Had to play from the start.

Are the timers displayed anywhere? And is there a way to turn the timers off? At the start when you have to build your first boat I ♥♥♥♥♥♥ around alot and levelled some buildings up thinking I had heaps of time since it said 3 months until spring or whatever, then I was south of Ribe camping and got the game over, last save 5 hours before that lol

The timer is displayed at the top of the map when in campaign map, it's a long line at the top of the campaign map with a blob showing the day you are on and the progress towards the end, hovering over the blob shows the exact day.

You can also see it when opening the codex if you are in a town or other area outside the campaign map.

Incidentally if you have 107 prosperity you're supposed to be able to trigger the althing and win, but I'm aware of some funkiness with that outcome. Could I convince you to send your savegame to [e-mail] (remember to include both the .sav file and the folder of the same name) so I can make sure my fix for this will solve the problem?

So! Now i have 86 wealth and 107 strength.. steinn is telling me my army is ready but i cant start the invasion? why??? there is no option to do that ....

Can you walk me through how the quest progressed for you? Did you get the Gain Power goal first, then at some point later you reached and exceeded 100 Power? Have you sided with Dun Phris?

i didnt got any goal... (from where do i get the goal?) and at the moment Dun Phris is still sieged by the picts and northumbrians...

i just build and tried to get anyone up who grants me power ;)

I united both territories.

Ah, well the option to conquer Britain does not unlock until you've done Dun Phris. You have to go through the Dun Phris quest in a very specific way to get that option, but even if you choose another way through it you can still use your Power later. I can't be more specific without major spoilers.

Haha... i did it! Britain is mine...
but but... no party... nobody is hailing me.. -.-

And if i try to take anything out of the Kings Hall... it is still stealing... how can that be? I cant steal from myself.. can i?

At last i did it, but it feels kind of... bitter... where are my warriors protecting perth and eoforwic??? there should be thousands of them... somewhere ^^

it doesnt feel right. there must be a party somewhere...
and btw nobody is kneeling before me... do they know i am King now???

Game seems to have so many bugs, its unplayable really.

No... I finished it three times and there weren't any major bug that made jt unplayable. Its just some things could be better and maybe will get better... 😉
