However, I've also experienced some rather weird instances where my hitchance versus a close-distance target was smaller than my chance versus a long-range target (in the very same round). So my conclusion is that there must be some kind of protection versus ranged/accuracy on a character-level? The only thing I could think of was that "low profile" trait - maybe, in contrast to the tooltip, it does not decrease the likelikhood that enemies fire on a char, but rather it halves the enemy's accuracy if he fires?
In XCOM2 thre is a space at the bottom of the screen that can easily be used to show all the To Hit modifiers. E:V doesn't, just a popup so the question is where should such info be displayed?
I agree it would be very helpfull to have it. I'm sure it's not random, there's a good reason for why the nunmbers change, but the problem is it's very difficult for the player to predict and so make good tactical deisions.
