Let me answer in another way you might find usefull... perhaps it will save the sister... Uhhh.
Just do the quest the way you want to, there might be more ways to save her for all you know... explore, seek out the diffrent ways to finish a quest.

So far fthe dialogs are the same: the cure had been created and you give it to the sister, her mother is greatful. However, it takes time untill she is recovered (or not). Do you have any update regarditg this issue?

I don't remember now, but I vaguely recall that things seemed to have been going fine and I think that the prietess herself says that you don't need the whole bark to make the medicine or something like that.

Half of bark is fine. I actually split the bark into half to share with others who needed it and the medicine still worked out fine. First time I actually failed the persuasion check and delivered the whole bark while second time I passed the check and delivered half bark only - no difference how the quest ends except you might get a thank you for sharing bark later on if you passed persuasion check.

Having a character with healing you get information that you are fairly certain half of the bark is enough for medicine.
