Zaccaria Pinball
Best table?
What's the best table? The game (physics, realism, presentation, cam editior) is great but I don't like the tables much as they are too old for my taste. What's the best table, your favorite table? Are there more modern tables that might be added in the future...with ramps, toys?

Certainly one player's opinion only, in alphabetical order.

Regardless, BLACKBELT at the top!!

TOP DOZEN ZACCARIA PINBALL TABLES alphabetically (in one opinion)
Blackbelt
Circus
Devil Riders
Earth Wind Fire
Farfalla
Hot Wheels
Magic Castle
Mexico '86
Soccer Kings
Space Shuttle
Strike
Time Machine

These are based on listing features and game play details for each, then assigning numeric values to those features, then sorting totals in order.

I don't know about the best, but I like the Blackbelt table a lot. Hotwheels and the Champ tables are also really fun to play on.

Robot has pop up playfield targets ala the medieval madness trolls and you have to get the ball up a ramp to activate them, that's probably the closest to what you're asking for.

That one aside, several of them have ramps, just that they're typically an opaque plastic or otherwise steel as opposed to the mostly clear ones bally and williams used at the time so you may not have spotted them as such.

Right now i really like star god, spooky is a close second though.

The more I get to know them, the more I like them all.
There's something I really dig about Robot though.

I mentioned this in my review my top picks based only on my opinion and without having to modify the game settings. Blackbelt it has voice effects, Farfalla, Shooting the Rapids, Devil Riders, Locomotion. These are my go to tables that I play the most.

For me, I seem to initially like the tables that I can keep the ball alive longer. So far, I done the best at this with Soccer Kings. It also has a cool playfield at the top where you attempt to shoot goals with a single middle flipper. I'm really enjoying all of these older but tougher, simplified Zaccaria tables. The newer tables are so complex I don't know what the heck I'm suppose to be shooting for. lol

Scoring goals with that flipper is a bit to easy on the table as you can't lose the ball. Once you know where the ball needs to be on the flipper it's a sure goal eveytime :)

Although I seem to have done better on the Strike SS table, with number 5 on the scoreboard for a score of 7,722,900 - the tables I have enjoyed the most so far are the Blackbelt remake and the Robot remake.

The Combat remake is pretty good, along with a Space Shuttle if you can look beyond the balance flaws. Shuttles got tons of great features and a nice flow.

Of the originals, Star God, Magic Castle. In truth though i don't give them enough attention, there's some more worthy tables.

Love the EM Tophand table too, dig the colours, really nice looking in VR.

I like a whole lot of the Zaccaria library, but I find myself coming back to Woods Queen Remake more than any other table. For all of it's faults, it's got a certain charm to it...probably the whole B-movie Jungle Girl theme that I like so much. It's like the developers went into making it with their tongue in their cheek, and wound up with a challenging and exciting table as a result.

A close second would be Tropical Remake...as much as the slingshots make me want to rage by practically shooting the ball into the outlanes, completing modes on that table is so very satisfying.
