I'm on NG+5 using the same file every time, have all endings and am lv 63, yet still haven't hit rock bottom sanity yet and I have no idea why. What am I doing wrong? I'd seriously like to know verbatim what makes you lose sanity if you didn't mind. I believed that the more powerful/higher rank I became, the lower my sanity would become, especially because with an increased level I started to see those red blobby creatures covered in eyes that make odd noises, create mist and seem to be invincible like the ghosts. Then on further upgrades I saw red "balloon" creatures also that enflame the ground.
I've been looking at my watch and have no idea how close I am. When I die it says "Lavender" and the hand is around the 25-minute mark. My title screen has a red mist around the throne as well, if that's any help. If it's not too much trouble can you please tell me what I should be doing by now? I'm loving the game but I don't want to play it ten times or it'll lose its flavour for certain.
One sure way to loose sanity is death, but that only works above a certain level. Parries and stabs take you further down. The best way to loose sanity fast, and with no limit.... is the blessing :) Keep buying it and you'll be sure to go insane fast.
That's what the blessing does, it has a single effect it takes away sanity, evil right?
Thanks again, and you really have made an excellent game.
On a final note, you should give yourself more credit; I found the game to be a lot of fun and challenging at the same time. Considering you're a one-man developer I think you've done a fantastic job on the game, personally. You managed to pull off the Souls-like experience perfectly in such a small project without it feeling like a ripoff. Pixel-style games can be wonderfully unique and original when done right. Sometimes less is more =).
