It's started happening to me now. My tank ignores my commands and does what it pleases after a few seconds of play.
I've started getting very slow load times, but at random.
It started after 3.9...
Other games and websites seem to be fine so far.

don't use websites as a reason.

any type of internet connection can load any wesites over their web browser without any problem.

e.g youtube and 1 megabyte per sec internet connection

most likely what you sufferring is lag due to high ping.

Ping is usually 90 to 120ms. It's something else and it happened to me again, while playing at someone elses house today on a different PC, so I know it isn't my setup.
I've got over 50Mb connection, so it's not that.

Also: others at the WG forum are starting to complain about the same issues with tank controls locking up and guns and other things misbehaving.

I didn't notice it after 3.8, I think it has to do with 3.9.

Someone at the WG official forums, says it's an old problem that was fixed, but has reared it's ugly head again.

My Train Sim and other things all run fine.

train simulator game is a single player game.

so you can't use it as a reason and a comparison to multiplayer games like CS:GO, WOT blitz, WOT PC, dota 2.

i don't have any problems at all when i'm playing WOT blitz.

here are several possible problems you having

1) poor wi-fi signal strength (this is totally true, since there is a range limit for your wi-fi internet connection)

2) high packet loss (everyone suffer from it now and then)

3) ISP server overload (this can happen from now and then)

I'm hardwired, no wifi.
ISP is not the problem. Cox is one of the best in U.S.
Part of the problem is that there is no Blitz server for Western US.
When number of users is down on Blitz server, the problems I have are almost gone. Ergo their server is getting overloaded, which has nothing to do with ping.
You can have a great ping, but the server can still overload and get saturated with traffic.
Ping is just the too and back speed and reflects a persons ISP and the Server Farms between the target and their location.
Even their official websites start loading slower, during high load hours.
They apparently need some sever upgrades.
My example of Train Simulator, was only to show that nothing is wrong with my systems hardware... besides I ran diagnostics on all of it.

actually you are wrong about ISP server.

once the ISP server overloads, the ISP will filter out people who needs internet connection more than others base on priority.

lets say got people using torrent programs to download big files. got people playing online games on steam.........etc.

the ISP will have to reduce the upload and download speed for every single person who are in contract with the ISP.

this is written about what the Internet Service Provider can do if they got ISP server overload.

1) On a broader level, the Internet service provider may use bandwidth throttling to help reduce a user's usage of bandwidth that is supplied to the local network.

this is more than enough evidence based on the link i give below.

https://www.thetechgame.com/Archives/t=5008235/isp-problem-server-overload.html

in this case, since you using cable/wired internet connection, the ISP most likely reduces your upload and download speed by bandwidth throttling.

p.s i went online to read about it, so i know more than you. what you say isn't accurate at all not even once.

I don't know anything about it...
I'm just licensed by the FCC... That's all. If it wasn't for psychos all over the interweb, I'd put up my license which includes things like internet and radio both, packets, RTTY etc. and you could look me up. Unfortunately the FCC likes to make a persons address etc public...
I also have practical experience, not theoretical experience....
My ISP speed is fine. I run pings and the Western WG servers are fine, the low pings come from the Eastern WG servers, which means it's their (Blitz's) location in relation to the West Coast.
My ISP doesn't throttle around here, Cox in fact gives everyone more speed than what they pay for. We are lucky in that respect.
Now Clear, Comcast and others, yes they throttle all the time and a person can be lucky to get half the speed they pay for, at any given time of day.

Server load and Ping are two separate things. You can have good ping but the target server can still be overloaded, which is what is going on with Blitz at certain times of day, here in the U.S.
