Huge performance issues FIXED *MacOS*
I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU DOING THIS! Unless you don't care. I am not responsible for your actions.

My system is not a case of performance drops as I own MacBook Pro M1 Max 10 core CPU/32 core GPU with 32 GB RAM

I have encountered an issue recently that WoT Blitz game started to having a huge performance drop out of nothing. tried all I could to find the cause. At first I thought that it something to deal with cache or whatever and just reinstalled the game (I play out of App Store) but that didn't help. Then I have tested literally everything since I've found no info on forums or here on how to fix the performance drops. My Internet is 1 gb land line with no issues with the ping. But the solution has shocked me.

! DO IT ON YOUR OWN RISK !
Why? Because it will unsecure the whole system for any viruses and exploits you might be catching. And I think that Wargaming should FIX it as soon as possible as I will not keep playing this game until it's fixed.

You need to turn off your mac and enter the "Options" or Recovery menu. You can google how to do it on your model. I was just needed to hold down the power button and wait.
When you get there, enter your password to unlock everything.
Go to Utilities -> TerminalType this command:
    csrutil disable
    type Y and press enter
then type your credentials when it will ask you and wait till it finishes the process. You will see the message that you need to restart your mac. That's it.

To play this game, you need to DISABLE YOUR SYSTEM'S SECURITY.
This is ridiculous.

To revert all back, just follow the same steps and replace the command with:
csrutil enable

This will return your system's security and the game will start lagging as a piece of... You got the point.

Hope developers read this forum, so please help me make this post visible to any of Wargaming staff.
Peace.

Although I also use a Mac I haven't had that problem or seen other reports of it. It might be worthwhile to consider other causes and safer solutions.

In recent years when I have experienced lag I have run PingPlotter to diagnose where it is being introduced. In my case it has always pointed to my ISP or to an overloaded internet pipeline. I suggest that you play it safe, enable csrutil and, when lag occurs, run PingPlotter to first identify where the problem is occuring.

After doing a quick search it appears that csrutil is usually disabled by developers who have not yet made their new app SIP compliant. It's said that there are now very few finished apps that don't meet the SIP requirements. Since SIP is usually used to scan new installations I suppose it's possible that some other program could be attempting a download into a Blitz folder.(see https://steamcommunity.com/app/444200/discussions/5/4138312226662440846/ for example). Running an antivirus program would also be a good idea.

Finally, I suggest that you submit a ticket to support. I doubt that a developer with Mac experience will browse this forum but support staff might forward your ticket to them.
