Blitz is not an exact copy of WOT but they could be heading towards a subclass system for MM.
They announced in October that they had started to use 9 different roles internally when balancing tanks (see below). When announced, they had already been using a role system for balancing tiers V-VII for an unknown period and said they would start doing that with tiers VIII-X. A total of 11 benchmarks, such as hp, single shot damage and armor, would be used in buffing or nerfing tanks to fit their roles.
(Something similar was being used for Mad Games abilities already).
Wargaming has previously said that they limit tanks to no more than 4 of each class with no more than a variation of +1/-1 between the class numbers in each team. They’ve also said recently that they now consider mediums and lights to be the same class for MM.
You aren’t the only person who thinks they may have moved or be moving to a role system for MM too. I’m not sure yet, since they like to keep MM simple and fast. With 9 roles but only 7 on a team it doesn’t sound simple - yet.
_____
“Every tank has its own gameplay role (used internally) which depends on a vehicle type and its key characteristics:
- Devastator (causes huge damage in a short period of time);
- Dreadnaught (blocks and absorbs damage);
- Stormtrooper (first-line heavy);
- Cavalry (maneuverable tank, effective in flanking);
- Sniper (shoots from long distance and keeps that distance);
- Close assault (heavy with weaker armor but more accurate gun than in a Stormtrooper);
- Close support (well-armored TD, fights in short distance);
- Long support (ambush TD with an accurate gun and no armor);
- Half-heavy (Cavalry/Stormtrooper hybrid, less mobile than Cavalry and has lower firepower than a Stormtrooper);
- Scout (fast tank with low armor protection, provides initial spotting).”

my name is Saqibalisjaid and i play on na server if you want to platoon
my win rate was 54% and recently with all the noobs and game play that changed it dropped to 47% . not that i give a ♥♥♥♥. i want one of there calculators as how do they calculate when u lose 10/20 games in a row and your win rate stay the same ??.
im not spending 100s of dollars on a game that is made to fill the pockets of greedy ppl that take ppl for fools as some are. losing 10/20 battles in a row with a 0/7 can only mean that the game is rigged to keep the fools that spend money happy and keep them spending to smooth their ego.
it does not mean u new or a noob when u lose games and is always in top 3 with damage and u always have ppl afk or die with 0 damage in 1st few seconds by charging into the enemy like a bull in a china shop with no clue what u doing.
Matchmaking and tank distribution in the match is rigged and not balanced.
- spend $$$ buy some buffed up tanks or something better, get good response
otherwise why would you spend $$$
- over time, WG buffed the rest to balance it out
- p2w feels no more potential edge
repeat cycle
This, exactly this. Just play for fun, not to win.
Winrates don't mean anything, and in fact like K/D from Call of Duty, if you have a particularly high score it means either you haven't played enough and/or "cheated" in some way.
Matchmaker could be refined a bit more I do agree tho. It's a bit obvious when you have a lower skilled team. Particularly the matchmaker gives you a Mauschen, a VK 100.01, and a VK 168.01 all on the same side. Yes, that has actually happened to me, today even. Most you can do then is play hard, give it your all, and most importantly have fun.
stats don't matter, your letting your stats play you.
who cares if you 15%er in the end.
at the point that you drop 2% and want too quit the game. i think you need too step back from blitzstars and just enjoy the round.
if you blow up .......ok
if you team blows up.....ok
if you win .......ok
if you lose.....ok
if you ace a tank ......ok
no buddy cares.
all i care about, is if i have blue tanks too kill.
live for the now especially when it comes too what is supposed too be fun and relaxing.
not just talking too OP but all you stat hungry tankers.
lol my name is "careless" for the record i never picked that name it was given too me by Microsoft along time ago. this is not a careless front but facts.
i have yet too go into a job interview and had my would be employer say "you seem like a good fit here, just one more question. what is your blitzstars name we need too check your stats"
Keep that mentally to yourself. Some people play just so they can say “oh I play wotb” others play it to win and actually accomplish something. I’m not deathly concerned about wr, however, I’m not at the low level of being okay with my stats looking like utter rubbish. Last time I checked losing miserably because your team is dogshît wasn’t ever fun unless you’re among the ranks of the brainless that play this game
i have never had a 40%er tell me.
im trash.
kill myself.
go back too tier one.
raciest insults.
demanding reports.
calling bots.
etc.etc.etc.
that is something only unicorns do.
the most toxic and vial players are not the 40%ers and the 40%ers are not the ones ruining the game. it's the people that forget it's a game in the first place that are the problem.
Most 40%ers are the trash that ♥♥♥♥♥ up the game. Not everyone plays to be a loser like you do. I’m not ok with these trash players and I never will be
