1) You have been playing for all of two months,
2) You are playing tier 9.
3) You are losing battles.
1 + 2 = 3.
I assume you are this player https://www.blitzstars.com/player/com/Anytime_2021 and have only 1,347 battles. You did very well in the lower tiers but are doing poorly in higher tiers. This is entirely normal. Many players rush up the tiers and have the same experience. The obvious solution is for you to go back to the tiers in which you did better and take your time moving back up the tiers.
If your “Smoky Sniper” managed 3,000 damage he probably can compete successfully in tier 9. But in your T54 you have a 0.54 damage ratio and are averaging only 797 damage per battle. The average player has a 0.98 DR and a 1,299 average damage per battle in that tank. You do not.
You may have the talent to do well in every tier, but I doubt that you have the experience or knowledge of the game to do that now. You are not given those things when you download the game and you can’t buy them. You have to earn them by fighting your way up every step of every tier.
Whether you do that is up to you. If you don’t want to do that then, yes, the smart move is to stop playing Blitz.
I see your reasoning and I don't entirely dismiss it. However, I would say your evaluations are only surface level... IE, if you've ever seen "My Cousin Vinny" you're telling me a playing card is a brick, which isn't ENTIRELY FALSE but MOSTLY INACCURATE.
IE, you formed your opinions on a 30 second glance at my profile and didn't look at any details to really form your assessment. Your mind was already made up before you even looked at my profile. i'LL BET YOU $100, WHEN SAW MY PROFILE AFTER 30 SECONDS YOU SAID TO YOURSELF 'YEP, JUST WHAT I THOUGHT.'
First, I don't PARTICULARLY CARE ABOUT MY WIN RATE. IF I'M A 70, 60, 50, 40, 30% PLAYER THAT IS WHAT I AM. MY WIN RATE DECLINING IS A SYMPTOM OF THE ISSUES I HAVE CONCERNS OVER, IT IS NOT THE CONCERN ITSELF.
you're a newb
I definitely am aware of being a newer player to WOTB.
- I definitely see the additional vulnerabilities of fielding new and un-upgraded tanks.
- I definitely see the struggle of learning new maps, where to position and probably more importantly where NOT to position.
THESE ARE NOT THE BASIS OF MY CONCERN, I ENTIRELY UNDERSTAND THAT FIELDING NEW TANKS AND NEW MAPS AND DIFFERENT LEVELS OF PLAYERS WILL LIKELY INTRODUCE DIFFERENCES.
Go back to from whence you came, newb
When I find myself in losing streaks, I already do switch tiers, and/or take a break. I will still play level 1s. As you found my profile, go look at 2/7/2022. IF YOUR ENTIRE HYPOTHESIS WAS ACCURATE, THEN YOU SHOULD SIGNIFICANTLY SEE HIGHER W/L WHEN I PLAYED LOWER TIERS, BUT YOU WILL NOT.
- T-26 (tier 1) 0 FOR 2
- BT-2 (tier 2) 1 FOR 3.
- KRYOS (tier 6) ZERO FOR 4... MY GOD MAN I HAD A 66% WIN RATE
- 14TP (tier 3) - ONE OF THE MATCHES, I GOT A MASTERY LOSING
So, when I DO GO BACK TO LOWER TIERS and am finding myself STILL IN THE EXACT SITUATION WHICH IS MY TEAM GETTING IT'S BRAINS STOMPED OUT... THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG.
new but not new as it seems?
However I am not new to tank battles. In most war based FPS games with vehicles, I prefer tanks. Ever since Battlefield 1942, joint operations, and many other games, I've preferred the engineer type role and tanks. And yes, screw the air guys as most of the time they got the best of me, but there were a few times I shot one of them out of the air too.
And I understand WOTB is a different game than the Battlefield games. However, there was at least some aspect of armor thickness and different areas of the vehicle and tactics battling enemy tanks or other armor vehicles, although probably not quite to the extent WOT does. Still, I find the game play more similar than dissimilar to my experiences in those other games.
further counter to your hypothesis
Now look at yesterday's results (2/10/2022)
T-54 (T9) 2 and 0
Tiger 1 (T7) 1 and 0
Kryos (T6) 1 and 0
SU100 (T6) 3 and 0
Somua SAu 40 (T4) 0 and 1
Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. D 0 and 1 (which is according to Blitzstars, my strongest tank)
BT-2 (T2) 1 for 2
So according to your assessment, my losses should all be at the top and all wins at the bottom. But that's not accurate, is it?
newb.. your scores...are way below average
So this is where my play style differs from many, especially OL SMOKY SNIPER. My play style is heavily TEAM ORIENTED, I will OFTEN die trying to help another team member who's got themselves in trouble. This is one reason I do die so much, and one reason my scoring is lower. Believe me, I can tell a HUGE DIFFERENCE in scoring when I'm playing for myself or playing to win, for the team. Sometimes, I do get a good enough team that I don't concern myself so much with them, and I will get 3000 damage and M badges all day long in that scenario.
bottom line
I realize that winning and losing means a lot of things to a lot of people. I realize many people who come here and complain are just complainers because they don't win all the time. That's not me.
Maybe it was all random. But the distribution of "random" teams should mean teams being equal, disparities and entropy should be occurring equally, and thus every player has their influence every game. But it should not run 30 battles in a row where my team is HORRIBLE and even the wins are by the hair on our chin.
Randomness is not random when one keeps losing.
but randomness is random when one keeps winning, cause we make a difference
My Point is, dont play solo, get a friend, better one wich is a better player cause so u will learn much faster and then u also can run over entire Teams 7/0 sometimes ^^
I have been doing some Big Boss stuff, and it is fun and different. Being newer, there are things I see as advantages and disadvantages to Big Boss mode.
As far as winning and losing, there are definitely facets of losing. There is losing in an honorable battle, but when there's 5+ tanks on the other team mowing down my team like a bush hog in a flower bed. And I can take a couple beatings, after 10, 20, or 30 that starts to get on my pecs.
I am in a clan and do a lot of clan platooning, I think most likely the clan member with the most clan platooning (you can see my platoon % in my profile). And for the most part, it seems BETTER platooning with clan members than not.
But I mentioned in other threads, there are other's in my clan who are also having similar experiences with teams, independent of anything I'm doing, playing etc. 2 players have commented in clan chat the last couple days about how awful their teams are (and me in clan platoon have also been beat just as badly for several battles).
Again, I want to make it clear I'm not looking to go pro, or make a living off WOTB, or expect to win 100% of the time. i've always been a fairly strong gamer, particularly in the FPS and action oriented games like this. I've won 30 player tournaments in one on one competitions (not that this means a whole lot...this was before pro gaming was really a thing). TBH what I really want is GOOD COMPETITION, win or lose.
You aren’t going to find equality or anything you can depend on in randomness. It’s chaotic. Humans have a major problem with chaos. We don’t like it. Add in the constant stream of new players that is essential to Blitz and MM doesn’t have much of a chance to give you teammates that understand teamwork.
Try Ratings battles. The MM there has more of a skill based component to it. It still struggles with fewer players in that queue and the NA has the second lowest player base.
Better yet, try tournaments. Pick your own teammates, train with them and develop some real teamwork. You might like that more.
THIS GAME SUCKS.
True true, I agree with your statement
It’s a good idea to take a break after losing a few. If you don’t you may be too upset to play well. Here is a good thread about it: http://forum.wotblitz.asia/index.php?/topic/5821-how-not-to-rage-and-crush-your-device-after-a-losing-streak/
One comment of my own. You’ve actually done well this week, but in wargames you’ll lose some battles:
2/10 75%
2/11 33%
2/12 62%
2/13 50%
2/14 50%

stop feeding WG
If you still really worry about win rate in these current days, you need to platoon to get a better win rate. Get 2 people who are decent players and your win rate will be better, but really, Blitz threw caring about that out long ago. If win rate really means that much to you, buy an OP tank, get a platoonmate with an OP tank, and go to town. if you don't want to do that, then adjust your thinking, play tanks you have fun in, and if your team sucks.. be mad, but just jump into another match and have fun.
yes, its annoying to be number 1 in the match all the time, to sometimes in your tier 8-9 battle outshoot all your teammates COMBINED in your light tank lol. But thats the way the game is.. bad players, expect it every game, don't expect anything else, try and do YOUR best, have some fun. Me, i like playing my T49. I don't do good in it like other tanks, but i have fun with it. Its great to take out and have fun, even if you lose a lot. Go have some fun.
Me, i stopped grinding new tanks when they did the great purge and blued everything, making grinding worthless when they just take away your tanks or nerf them, etc. Haven't did a single new tank in years? lol. I just play fun favorites tier 6-8 ish and have fun, don't care about WG anymore just something to pass the time. I'll just use free exp to "grind" tanks now once in a while to use it up but haven't even really did that in years. Not worth it, grind some tanks, WG nerfs or removes them, yea thats a lot of wasted time for nothing. Won't fall for that ever again.
I do and have take breaks especially when what appears to be in "losing team streaks".
What your assessment does NOT include is the number of terrible teams in either Big Boss and Ranked battles. Last night I lost 3 ranked battles last night in a row, and yes the teams were ****.
