World of Tanks Blitz

World of Tanks Blitz

Players giving my a 'thumbs down'.
I've only been playing this a few days, but I have started noticing that players are giving me a 'thumbs down'. I get the notification after the match and seems to be tied to particularly bad performances. It's not very common, but it's happened twice today (I've been playing most of the day).

I know I am new, but wth gives with giving me a thumbs down? I feel bad enough already. The game I just had I got absolutely smoked by players who are obviously way more experienced than me. I'm still learning all of the maps for Christ's sake. I still don't understand the bush stuff. I seem to be in cover, but I still get tortured by the enemy.

Like, what's the point?

'Hey man, you know the way you got surrounded and blown up, with the equivalent of tank teabagging, as reds ram me and bully me like I'm ... at war with them. Anyway, I know I suck, but how is reminding me helping anyone at all?

I'd prefer a message from them saying something constructive like:

'Yo loser, next time fire AFTER you aim.' or 'Yo mate, you realise we could all see you 'hiding' in the bushes in that last game?'

I mean, I don't get a thums up when I top the results. Eh?

It's just a feature I've never come across before.

If you have only been playing a few days then you are mostly playing against actual AI bots at 3-5k career battles or less. If there are actually any "experienced" players in your matches they are veteran players using re-roll accounts to actually play lowbies like you, which is actually pretty rare these days as 99% of us veterans don't give two sh!ts about Tier 4 or below anymore for any entertainment value much less trolling noobs.

Most likely you are getting thumbs down from people who are either just trolling you for the fun of such...or...you are truly just playing that badly against the AI that your actual fellow noobs think that poorly of you.

In the end...sounds like a skill issue. You did not mention what tier tanks you are playing? If you are this new and playing anything above Tier 4...then you deserve every thumbs down and actual bannable report possible.

"bannable" report is a function where everyone get 7 reports per 24 hrs to report someone for AFK, offense speech, etc and if you rack up enough of them from enough people in a given time period...you can actually catch warnings and enough warnings equate to temporary bans in game chat and or actual play time.

Personally I dump an AFK report on every 40%er in Tier6+ who fails to score more than 100 damage per tank tier played.

I'm pretty sure I am playing against real players for the most part anyway - things like blasting commands on the chat.

Regarding the tanks, I have everything up to tier VIII. I got the elefant thing, and splurged on a T-something and for some reason I am able to grind for Silencer (and have the parts).
I'm not playing them as much, as I said, I often get horrible games. However, I have noticed the rewards are almost double with the higher tier tanks.

I guess I fit your description for bannable, which kinda sucks. So basically:

'get good'

'my question is how long you need learn fight on maps with 2-3 hills ?'

I don't know how long I have to learn on maps.

'and you think you learn game from tier X/9 ?

I definitely AM learning from tier x/9, although too slowly and painfully to help my team properly. I didn't realise that tier = skill. I mean, CLEARLY it doesn't if this is a consistent problem with players.

'if no learn help and cover in tier 1/2 up no find this habbit'

No idea what you're talking about.

'lie yourself'

Again, I don't know what you mean.

Take the thumbs down with a grain of salt - because it'd often nothing more than something from a salty player.. The lowest damage player may give all of their teammates a thumbs down because they didn't win when he did little or nothing. Another player gives everyone on the other team a thumbs down because they won and he didn't. Destroy a tank and that player may give you a thumbs down.

The whole purpose of the after battle reactions, in my opinion, is to let players vent instead of raging and insulting in chat. I only use it to give positive reactions to players that worked together (as teammates should) or showed exceptional skill. I want them to do more of that.

i just fold a paper to just block a small portion of top screen, then remove when press battle repeat cycle

players who whine about losing a regular random are idiots . dont worry yourself about it till you play rated games , just have fun and ♥♥♥♥ them

if you play high tier tank and camp in back is thumbs down
why - because everyone low tier wait you do something - because have better pen more alfa/ more dpm / more hp
if you think you learn all time you are stupid
karma is same situation in same vehicle - if you no solve this you be same as 45% playerbase - be back and camp / and do trash commnands
how many games you need be pro ?
5 000 /10 000 /100 000 ?
you be pro when you realize what happend in battlefield / where are potentional campers and how best help ally who strugle with enem !
if you think 7 players in same 50m location is win you stupid !

Today I was doing tier 10 rating battles. In one of my losses, where I did quite well, one of the players in a Concept B had 60 battles. They did 0 damage and earned 0 XP.

I not only gave them a thumbs down, but also messaged them, whether they saw it or not, that them playing tier 10 ratings battles is ridiculous.

Why is it always the people that "don't care" are playing tier 10 something? If they "don't care" why not just play tier 5? you know why, because the do care, they are just full of ♥♥♥♥.
So, an update since then:

I have been playing ever more and definitely improved. The only thumbs down I can remember getting recently was when I completely lagged out and drove INTO a mountain and then reappeared eventually as a smoking husk.

Fair enough.

I did receive a 'duck' after a battle. However, I have absolutely no idea wtf that means.

Generally duck means "sitting duck".

Well, it can mean many things. Those emotes are purposely supposed to have some ambiguity. I think I have been "ducked" from complaining too much, being a sitting duck (yeah it happens), and maybe even from going quackers. I think most often duck intent is just "you were a sitting duck."

One match, I gave one of my team mates a "punching fist", My intent was to compliment them, like a fist bump, but they lit me up with messages, lol telling me they were going to kill me and my family and all sorts of loony stuff. Confused, I replied "I thought we did good". They chilled out and sent me a friend request. I never really used the "punch fist" before.

Don't worry. They are losers who are upset at you for having genuine fun. I know the feeling you describe. just ignore and report them if they are verbally abusive. They cannot play and want to blame you and everyone else for their loss. Also even in real life sometimes strong troops get ambushed and there is nothing you can do. They do not understand real life or games. They do not understand that this is supposed to be for good clean fun. They do not know what good clean fun even is! cheer up, and know that the rest of us we care about you.

I actually give a thumbs up to everyone when i see this kind of abuse, just to cheer them up. except to the troll, i dont thumbs up them.

we feel your pain. just be encouraged.

Smells like a 40%er circle jerk at this point...
