Problems for in game purchases

I am having huge problems buying items in the in game store. I play via steam, after making sure steam overlay is active, go to store and click on item, get steam logo screen for 3 to 4 min, then a in game store screen which gives me the circle of death. Have waited up to 20 min and nothing, have to exit game to get off screen. Had PC checked, all good. WoT blitz says steams problem, steam says no not us. Any help would be good

There's no guarantees but there's three things you could try.

The first two assume that there is a problem downloading from whatever server Steam uses for store downloads. First, try opening Steam's Settings/Downloads and clear the download cache. Next, while you are there, change your region to somewhere else and see if that helps.

You could download the Microsoft or Apple client onto your computer, or download the game to a mobile device. Use your Wargaming ID to open the game and then make your purchases from a different platform. You wouldn't be using your Steam Wallet but if you download to a mobile device you could also watch ads for gold. .

It's always worthwhile to check Wargaming's Premium Shop (Settings/Portal and select the shop on the top left). It has a more limited selection of items, some different offerings and the price on some can be lower.
