if your asking what one is better, tiger 1.
if your asking what one should you go for first, i'd say tiger p.

the tiger 1 only turns into the tiger2.
the tiger p has the vk 45, vk100, ferdi.

jumping tiers can lead to tears.
play tier 7 for as long as you can unlocking and buying the 3 tier 8 and fully equipping them with free exp. before playing in them.

but to each there own and you can't go wrong.

personally, i went with tiger-p, it bounces at least some shots, sometimes even from lvl 8. And unlocked Tiger2 via Panther.

Don’t listen to the guy above.
Tiger 1 is a very good tank, has a higher skill ceiling than the tiger p. If you are looking to get the e100, which outside of ratings is a decent tank, then the rest of the line is very good. Tiger and E75 and both very strong and reliable. Tiger P is not bad, but limited with its speed, and it’s armour is not as good, weak lower plate and fat cupola. It leads to 3 tier 10s, one of them being the maus which is, well, the maus.
