If you are in a Heavy, assume you are spotted almost all the time unless your "camo on" indicator is showing, even then remember that 3 secs of not knowing.
Either change your tank modules/equipment to have better camo or better spotting.
Also, for all you know there were two unspotted tanks firing at you or one with an autoloader.

This, sad if u still don't understand the viewsystem and spotting mechanics but are fast on the "is he cheating" Theme, not that this would be something new nowadays tho..
