Cheating???

I just played a match where it was down to one enemy tank and he shot me twice and I could see the direction he shot from from the shell direction indicator but I could not see him on the battlefield and he did not appear on the map anywhere. I want to know if this was cheating (I've never come across times where I thought cheating was happening) or just a "glitch in the matrix" so to speak???

1) He sees farther than you
2) his camo ability is better than you and he is behind a bush
3) his crew skill camo is better than yours
4) lag, you received his where abouts too late, he saw you at the same time you saw him, but lag makes you blind.

Know that when you are spotted by a red, your spotted indicator doesn't actually "ding" for 3 seconds of server time. Add your own latency and you could potentially be sitting in someone's sights for as long as 5 secs before you even realize you are spotted.

If you are in a Heavy, assume you are spotted almost all the time unless your "camo on" indicator is showing, even then remember that 3 secs of not knowing.

Either change your tank modules/equipment to have better camo or better spotting.

Also, for all you know there were two unspotted tanks firing at you or one with an autoloader.

This, sad if u still don't understand the viewsystem and spotting mechanics but are fast on the "is he cheating" Theme, not that this would be something new nowadays tho..
