Chat Ban
Does accidentally typing censored words such as SP IC (LT Tier 7), bear, panalo, etc. contribute to being chat banned?
'Cause I got chat banned for 11 days yesterday and the weird thing is I took a break from the game for 2 weeks. Reason states offensive and deragatory comments about race. I don't remember typing something like this though. Anyone also got chat banned for this reason?

Well mate. Chat ban appears after you were reported by your co players. Either your or enemy team. And is not happening after one or two reports. You have to work for it.
My advise... Chill... relax. Try to not express Yourself on chat. Especially when You are fuming angry with bad team or bad RNG... turn off relax. Go for a walk. REad a book. Anything...

oh okay maybe that is why I thought chat ban was just randomly given by moderators to other players at any given time. Thx bro

There's a glitch going on with random chat bans right now, you're not the only one. Don't sweat it unless you've actually done something bad

No. The only way you get chat banned is if enough players use the Honor system after a match. Most people nowdays will only use the "Provocative Comms" thumbs down on other players to "report" them for being afk, bad player or actual chat.
It's extremely rare to actually get banned via the Honor System. So either you are a terribad player getting reported every match or someone actually screenshotted your chats and send to Support via an actual Ticket which can result in a ban.
Only Game Admins/WG Employees can chat ban you in game, not "Moderators" which are Forum "Admins".

just so you know. the tank is SP 1c not ic.. the tank is not a racist word towards spanish like people seem to think, even droodles apparently cannot tell the difference between a 1 and an I

I havent played in a while so not sure if they changed the honor system any, but bans over 3 days are reported bans, someone sent a report into the gaming company on your conduct or something you did or said.

The honor system chat ban is for 3 days, not 11, not 8. 3 day chat ban only. Bans over that are actual reported problems someone sent in. All you need in a game is 2 people to downvote you for provocative communication, even if you didn't even say a word in the game, and the useless honor system automatically bans you. No one looks at the honor system downvotes, its automatic.

You can play 100 games, and 1 person each game downvotes you for provocative communication. Means nothing because its only 1 person a game. Play 1 game and say nothing the entire battle, and if 2 people downvote you just to be annoying, your automatically banned 3 days. Thats how it works.

You can platoon with a friend and just use up your downvotes on the same person and 3 day chat ban anyone you want. its a useless system.

But "strikes" are something different and you should have gotten a message about getting a strike on your account. You should also be able to see how many strikes you have. Strikes do not go away and each strike your chat banned for a longer period. 5 out of 5 strikes your perma chat banned.. Forever.

Damn so anyone can abuse the crap out of Provocative Communication while platooning. My chat ban was done on May 14 so I can chat again and mine didn't have "Strike", but thanks for the info though.

yep me and a platoon mate long ago would just pick people who annoyed us during the game, and auto chat ban them. Usually we'd just pick the best player on the other team.. whammo lol. its a dumb worthless system. You can ban them in other areas also but only the chat ban is punishment, the other bans are worthless, just like the honor system.

yea if you get a reported strike you'll get an in-game message sent to you that you got a strike on your account for such and such, strike 1 out of 5, 2 out of 5, etc. If i remember correctly its usually like a warning the first time, then strike 1 is 1 day ban, strike 2, 1 week, strike 3, 1 month, strike 4, 3 months, strike 5, perm. Something like that.

I had 5 strikes long ago so im perm chat banned forever, so now i just yell at my monitor about useless morons instead of sending them messages lol. Not a big deal, yelling at them doesn't change them, you can't fix stupid. It just makes YOU feel better, so having a perm chat ban means nothing except you can't communicate with your clan mates, platoon mates, etc. It applies to all chats.
