The workaround for this is to examine tanks in ArmorInspector
(https://wotinspector.com/en/). Using data from WOT Console it has internal and external three D models of most of the tanks in Blitz.
Revealing the positions of enemies in a way not included in the vanilla client. Marking objects destroyed on the playing field, altering the display of shell flight tracers or calculating and displaying the position of enemy artillery with tracers, as well as those that keep spotted vehicles displayed, even when a player is not aiming at them and isn’t in their line of sight
Making it easier to block an enemy’s shell by indicating their exact aiming point (for example, with a laser beam)
Alerting you when spotted vehicles are reloading, including displaying an enemy's reloading timer
Auto-aim – or “aimbots” – that provide more functionality than the “aim lock” in the vanilla client, including those that aim at the enemy's weak spots, or at weakly armored vehicles/at enemy vehicles in general, and also fix the sight on the target behind an obstacle or calculate the lead instead of the player
Enabling automatic use of non-Premium consumables before the announcement of results of the battle
Aiding in finding enemies by letting you adjust the transparency of objects on the map
Leaving any tags or indicators located on the playing field where the opponent was spotted by someone from the player’s team
Any direct alteration of the physical properties, performance characteristics, or effects of any vehicle or object in the game, or otherwise subverting the game rules
Thank you. This is very helpful.
can someone help me with it? simple question
Also mods are working at newest patch if you will find old mod it just want work.
Some of the types of mods that, as far as I know, are not banned are camouflage and audio mods such as gun sounds or crew voices. These mods change how a player’s tanks look or sound, but are not seen or heard by other players. Colorblind mods that change the colors used in reticles, hitskins or the minimap are another example. They do not give the user an advantage in gameplay.
Although I am still looking for current colorblind mods, other apparently legal mods do exist. The MadWOTB Discord server is one of the sites that provides information and examples of them. https://madwotbmod.wordpress.com/ has a link to that Discord server.
Please note that I am not aware of any WG list of approved mods. As with mods to other games, mods are not supported and may be broken by game updates or changes in your devices OS.
In WOT PC there are two file folders, MODS and Res-Mods, that are provided specifically for user made mods to the game. You can add both legal and illegal mods to those folders. WG has tightened up on cheating over the past 11 years but the opportunity is still there.
In WOT Blitz there is no MOD folder of any type provided. To make a MOD you have to directly edit or replace DVPL game files. You have to change the game engine. That violates EULA and the game rules. WG never intended for Blitz to be modded otherwise they would have added the MOD file folder. Even the mods that do not change how the game is played are questionable because of the necessity to alter the game software itself.
It's one thing for WG to offer a MOD file folder where you insert mods. But they would never say, "Uhhh, Comrade. Is OK to screw with game files. We don't need stinking capitalist copyright protection in Belarus." :)
So, mod Blitz at your own peril. WG has never had the reputation of clearly stating which mods are legal and which are illegal in the PC version. We suspect that they tolerated cheat mods prior to Version 1.0 (it was an almost 10 year beta test) in order for players to develop mods free of charge, for other players to play test them in game - free of charge - so that WG could incorporate the best of them into the game, which they did. A year or so ago they went through each server and banned tens of thousands of accounts on PC for using cheat mods. About 50k of the bans were on the Russian server.
In my opinion mods that only change the appearance of your tank and can’t be seen by other players do not appear in the list posted by Elite911 above. If you want your tank to look like a giant pink bunny rabbit and no one else will ever see it, I don’t think anyone would care.
Mods such as one that changes the skin of my tank so that you could see where the ammo racks are located would be different. I think a mod like that is on the list and would be banned. Since I don’t want you to ammo rack my tanks I would care very much and I think WG would too.
