Excelsior british heavy tank worth buying?

for this price,excelsior can be a good choice. but if you have many tanks better than excelsior this is not a good idea.

My best tank was a Panzer IV which is tier V this is tier V too and I don't regret it. This tank is so good. It's armos is really hard to penetrate.Almost every shot bounces off me like my tank doesn't give a f*ck. It was totaly worth it.

You got lucky. Pz.IV has very weak armour. The front is only tough to Tier IV lights

I think he bought the Exce and was talking about it being hard to pen, hence him saying it was totally worth it.

And as long as you don't have any tier5 or higher prem tank, it is indeed worth it, for farming some credits, although if you got some favourite t5 or t6 you perform really good in, it could already be a good credit earner and thus no real need for a t5 prem. If you really want to invest into the game, best credit earners are ofc T7-8 prems.

Poor AP penetration, flat turret front armor, side armor made of thin main + spaced armor and good gun depression only at sides makes it sometimes a bit tricky to play.

After buying it long time ago I hated it but now after it is buffed and kitted with all 9 equipments I kind of like it when in tier 4-5 battles, being single tier 5 tank in tier 6 game is a bit frustrating.

I point turret corner towards enemy which is about to shoot me, if I am lucky it will bounce since effective armor thickness is increased. I also use HE against some paper armor tier 4 tanks and backs of some tier 5 tanks, it will be a bit gambling, if shell hits tarcks only 2 digit damage numbers.

Excelsior has really great gun for its tier,buy it if you want to but if u dont want it then its fine
