communicating with team mates
would someone point me to an info source for keyboard shortcuts that describe how to send messages to the team?

Top left corner of your screen above tasks is a button with three bars. Click there, then at the bottom click settings. You get three tabs; click on controls. Chat commands are in the middle column. You can change the key commands to suit your preference.

why do you want to communicate with your team??? That is useless and annoying as fucq.

most of the time yes. Many can't speak your language. Many don't listen or are noobs who don't have the faintest idea what your talking about. At the most, only "go right, or go left" is the best you can do, and again, see point 1, many have no clue and just go where they want.

Jump in a tier 7 battle, and everyone goes in 3 different directions. Team chat doesn't help which is why they were smart long ago to take it out after you die, because 95% of team chat is insulting noobs losers who don't know what they are doing, and don't do nothing in the fight, NOT actually helping in the battle. Noobs don't and can't listen, nor can they use their brains to listen to your advice. 95% of players are noobs for a reason. Society isn't smart.

the worst of all is that plenty of people who play this game whether it is on steam or not

1) either disable the mini map permanently or don't bother looking at it when you keep on calling for help.

i have also seen plenty of people abusing those shortcut "communications" by

i) calling for help when they are not in trouble at all.

^_^

Yep. Directions don't really matter nor advice during fights. A good player already knows where to go, they don't need someone telling them. Bad players just do what they want, thus the term "bad player". A good player knows...

1) Go with the majority of the team. Stick together. 7 tanks shooting the enemy when you run into them is better than 4 tanks, or 5.

2) Look at what the enemy has and figure out which direction. If they are mostly heavies and you have a bunch of lights/mediums, don't drive head-on into their heavies, flank and try and catch stragglers on the other side of the map first. If the enemy has 2 KV2s, and you have tier 6 medium tanks or lights as your top guys, don't go driving into their kv2s to get wasted. If it's the opposite, don't drive off to run into their light tanks and get slaughered, stick with your heavies and use them as distractions.

the way most teams lose is by going seperate ways and getting caught isolated. I do it also i tend to want to drive up and fight, not hide behind rocks like bad players do. I always get the 40% losers that i insult because they hid the whole game going "yea im alive and your dead" and i tell the losers "the goal of the match isn't to stay alive as long as possible and not shoot stuff, but to SHOOT STUFF." Most loser noobs think that by hiding and not getting shot, they will win. Thus = term noobs.

I actually do much better in matches where i snipe from the back and let the noobs die, but im not really that type of player, its boring, and if you pick your sniping position badly, you won't get much fighting because no sniper spot covers the whole map. If your covering one direction, and the enemy is in the other, you are just driving and sitting waiting, for nothing to snipe at, and you have to move after a while. Also snipers are weaker unless they have the equipment to maximize their sniping ability, tanks you don't research equipment all the way are much stronger up front, while tanks you can get equipment for that you usually keep around can snipe much better with the right items. Except for tanks that use HE of course like kv2s, no need for pen with those guns.

Don't assume a good player already knows where to go. An experienced player might, but as I've moved up in tiers, I've found myself in maps I'd driven over in training and seen in videos but never experienced in battle. Many times I ask "plan?" I could wait and watch and figure it out, but then I've lost time getting in position. Share your knowledge and the already-known plan, please, so I can be useful in the battle before us. I wouldn't ask if I didn't want to know.

Hey idk how to message the owner of this game world of tanks blitz, cuz I wanna ask if they can add something that idk if they planned on doing, but I wonder for the new years eve, if they can add a premium pass for a tank that could be musical, like for example, a reskin of some tanks like 1 for rap, 2 for hip-hop, and 3 for heavy metal, lastly 4 for any other they wanted to add, cuz my thoughts of it, being they can get a lot of money for something new, and yet I think it's a good idea since the game doesn't have popular music, and so i figured, hmm a bundle of people would like this idea, problem is, could this be implemented into the game? Other is how much would it cost to do so, and which celebrities they want to add, I figured since they did Arnold and Mia, that they maybe pull it off, if they do save up enough money, i'm just brainstorming ideas, and if you the community think this is a good idea please let know down in the comments, simply replying to this thought, should we add a new reskin, (musical tank?) The idea was mine cuz I was recently watching a halftime of an old video of a super bowl, where Eminem, D.r.e, Kendrick Lamar, 50 cent, and Mary J. Blige, singing their most popular songs (their 1st songs), and if you think the devs can't please explain why? Thanks to those who read this I'm sorry if this was too much to read, but thanks if you do, and I'm glad to be here for the community, I love Wargaming, and give them a round of applause, for reaching this far for new tanks, fixing issues, and etc. Wargaming this half of my message is for you, (I'm proud to be here experiencing new things in game the game have came a long way to where it is right now, and you're the one i'm thanking, Love you Wargame! <3 ).

We will probably see other celebrities from time to time, but I doubt that any will also be appearing at the Super Bowl. Celebrities who do that are charging astronomical fees and I don't think Wargaming could afford them.

Another place to post something like this would be as a topic of it's own in the Feedback forum here. Wargaming staff often post announcements in the Events forum and might read through the Feedback forum to see those comments.

No one from WG reads this forum. They could care less what Steam users think as the F2P population and paying population on PC barely make a blip on their sales records compared to the Mobile App versions.
EolSunder Dec 28, 2022 @ 11:59pm
exactly. At the least they might read/listen to posts in forums in their language and area, but they sure aren't going to read or listen to posters in other countries, usa, etc.
EL_Din_46 Dec 29, 2022 @ 10:26am
There's a small chance the staff who post in Events will browse, but that's about it. Elite911 may have kept her staff contacts in the loop, but she's disappeared. Since Steam is using staff or contractors for forum moderators now there's not much incentive for game companies to have their own.

Staff has actually posted fixes to problems Steam players have on Discord but not here. I don't mind reposting them but I shouldn't have to do that when social media team staff are posting other items. This should not be happening: https://discord.com/channels/481445776178806785/501823922749308939/1027962564803575848
