World of Tanks Blitz

World of Tanks Blitz

What is the location of the configuration file?
Hi everybody, I am trying to fix the issue with the game which makes it that when I run it in full screen the mouse cursor is visible but it is not functioning when I attemp to click on anything. When I read advice online one of the suggestions was to remove the configuration file. The post was old and suggested that there is a "wargaming" folder. However I looked and searched for this file and I am not able to find it. Does anybody know where it is located?

Many games use hidden files. Without checking, on my imac I could use the “Go to Folder” menu item to search for “~Library” Once there I’d look under “Application Support” for the wargaming files. If I didn’t find it there I’d keep looking under other Library folders. There is a way to do something similar on Windows devices but that’s the kind of info I try not to know. You could post in the Technical Issues forum if you use Windows. Say that you need Windows help.
Do you know the exact name of the config file? or at least its extension (for windows versions) ?

For steam installation, u can try to look for it in "Steam > steamapps > common > World of Tanks Blitz"> folder as well as "DAVAProject" folder in you "Documents" folder.

For Win10, you need security permissions to go into C:\Program Files > WindowsApps and look it up there.

Let us know if it works for u. I havent come across this issue so far though but helps to know.
By the way, on Win10 , you can full screen in two ways: One is the default Alt+Enter full screen (aka borderless exclusive fullscreen), the other is to Alt+Enter out into a windowed mode first, then simply use maximize to fill entire screen except the window borders and top title bar. Let us know if ur mouse is still locked to perform any actions in this pseudo full screen? lol
If you are in game, I think, you should hit escape and then resume game. it happened to me before at bad times, you can't shoot but you can move with the keyboard. try that and let us know

The suggestion online was to go to [user name]/roaming/AppData/Roaming/WarGaming.net/WorldofTanks/ and to delete the file called preferences.xml

I searched but cannot find that file or the WarGaming.net folder in there. Other games' folders are.

When I go full screen using either Alt-Enter, or clicking on full screen square, it expands it and displays it but the mouse doesn't do anything except float over it. If I do this after the game has started, then the game screen freezes, while the sounds are delivered correctly. If I press W or D to move the tank the sounds do come out like the tank is moving.

Thats whats happening.

It works perfectly fine as long as it stays in the square window. That window is also in some 4 by 3 resolution, not the currently standard widescreen
Hmmm, never heard of this problem before , so currently no idea. I searched every where on my PC and I dont have that Wargaming folder as well as that preferences file anywhere in steam and DAVA folder. Not sure but may be that file is for the original PC version called WoT so it should fix this problem for that game, not for Blitz.

I will try to search on internet. Mean while, could this be video driver issue or some thing related to DotNet and/or those tons of C++ Redistributable modules? I have no idea. If u are using steam version, try deleting DAVAProject folder in Documents. For me, it just resets most of the user related files, graphics/audio settings, several game related caches files and it also removes all replay files for all accounts related to all servers (so be careful if u have these replays). Also, for steam version, try doing the 'integrity check' first (right click the game name in ur steam library > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity of Game Files, usually the bottom most button). If not resolved, one final thing is re-installation. Also, if u are using steam version, try windows' store version of blitz (or vice versa).

Let us know.
uninstall and reinstall the game; may help
