Autoaim is good for newbs, because they really can't drive or shoot or aim yet, so at least with autoaim they are shooting in the general direction. Autoaim is also good for fast tanks who are circling slower big tanks, your taking all your concentration on driving to keep out of their guns, so autoaim lets you shoot while your concentrate.
but better players don't use autoaim at all. You can't lead with autoaim, you can't aim at weak spots with autoaim. A good player can drive and shoot fine on the move.
If you have 5000 battles and 38% win rate? chances are you will never be able to aim well, so use autoaim lol. if you can actually drive and shoot at the same time, don't touch it, it will only hinder your progress.
What win rate would be a good indication that you would be better off with autoaim?
Obviously it's not something I can determine after just a few battles, but lets say I have T1-T3 tanks that I have got through grinding (no idea how many battles that would take).
actually, i have seen plenty of people who is using tier 5 leopard tank most likely using auto aim.
most of their shots go hit the gun's armor which is colored red most of the time.
i have seen a battle of mine where the leopard on my team shoots 30 times on an enemy tank and you know what, none of it penetrate at all. (30 shots hits the tank, 0 shots penetrate the tank) his hit ratio is below 50.00% some more even though his win ratio is close to 50.00%
and having high win ratio doesn't mean you have high hit ratio.
most clans will look for is this one. hit ratio, since there is no such thing as 100% win ratio at all.
and leopard pen won't go through everything. Plenty of tier 5-6 tanks your leopard isn't going to do much against unless your flanking. Please don't give out stupid advice. I play a leopard primarily one of my favorite 2 tanks, and your leopard isn't going to autoaim pen a dozen or 2 heavy armored tanks unless your aiming, especially from the front.
Any leopard driver who isn't aiming at enemies is a bad leopard driver. By tier 5, if you are using autoaim a lot, you are still one of those tier 5 noobs with 150 battles who has no clue how to fight.
And high win rate does mean something. It means that you are a good player, and many times YOU are the reason your team wins. win rate doesn't mean nothing if youve fought 50 fights, but if you have 3000 fights, and 60% win rate, you are better than the regular players because your skill makes you win that extra 10%. If you have 15,000 battles and 60% win rate, even better.
Most bad players have 40% win rate give or take. They are so bad they don't give their teams any type of boost and lost most of their fights due to not helping. 50% win rates are average. If you are at 50% or so, you are fine. Good players have 60%+. Very very very very few really good players have 70% about. But thats very rare.
i've fought in probably 22,000 battles or so, so i know what im doing. I'm not elite by any means, but i won't embarass myself in a battle. My win rate is 61%, and thats with getting noobs teams all the time, since 80% of the players you run into are bad players. And my win rate is that high because most of the time i have to carry the team to victory, while they kill 3 tanks i'll kill 4 by myself, ill be at number 1 spot all the time. I'll have 1000 damage in a battle with my tier 4, while tier 5s will have 100 damage.
So win rate does mean something the higher battles you do. That extra win rate is the skill of that player who can carry their team just enough to win the fight, where as if there was a bad player there instead, the fight would be lost. I can't count the number of times my loser teams got slaughtered fast and i was left alone with 3 enemy tanks running about, and squeeked out a win in the end.
So again, good players aim, bad players autoaim. A good player doesn't have to autoaim to shoot while on the move, they have played enough to know how to drive and shoot at the same time.
