Run into a Smasher? no biggie, who cares about him when there are Annihilators about, or Gravediggers, some +1 kv2? don't care about unless i turn a corner and there is one right there in my face aiming my way. Otherwise nothing different than a kv2.. scary to noobs, and scary if you don't know there is one and it snipes you across the map and gets a lucky shot out of the blue.
However, Update 8.0 saw a bug fix that was the same as a AP pen nerf. AP shells slow down and lose pen over enough distance - except for the Smasher. That was a bug, and the Smasher’s 152mm AP shells now behave more like the SU-152’s 152mm AP shells. The Smasher shouldn’t be any less accurate, but when sniping It’s shells should bounce and fail to pen more than before.
