Help needed for 2 levels in Andromeda (Gladiator and Tariff)
I am trying for days to beat those but neither hoarding units nor direct confrontation brought a solution so far and I have tried virtually every single variation that I can think of (I probably don't think about the right one that's why I need to pick the hot-shots' brains in here ;-P). First I thought that hoarding and then sneak attacking would do the trick but I can only accumulate units to attack once or twice and the AI is top notch attacking my 2 ring planets early not to mention that I can only manage to weaken one of the other factions which results in the other taking over completely.... Those 2 levels are really insane. I simply don't see how to beat them......EVER :-P x-P

Any help or suggestion is highly appreciated :-)

Update:

I managed to beat Gladiator and this is how I did it:

Capture the 2 double-ringed planets near to you and upgrade them fully. Once you upgraded the last ring immediately mass units outside of the mine ring until all your planets were taken by the enemy. Move your units behind the huge planet on the right and wait until the AI attacks inside the mine belt. Take the biggest sun and upgrade it. Take the small planet next to it and immediately start massing units again. If you are lucky the AI will be fighting for the center planets and will keep a natural equilibrium with a back and forth of taking and losing planets. Use a few mins to mass up 2 groups of units in the meantime. When one of the AIs is gaining the advantage attack from behind and take the largest suns first. Best would be to do this from both sides simultaneously. Et voila!
Anyone? :-(
Hi, I've managed to beat Tariff by:

1.) Upgrade my first planet to the max
2.) Then take the planet right above me and upgrade
3.) Then I hold on to both planets for about 15 min (gamespeed quickest)
After that I had enough units to beat both AI.

Hope this works for you as well, good luck!

PS Did you manage to beat levels Vise (White holes) and Influx (Walls)?
Those are the only two I still need to beat :-)
Hi Acieeed,
Thanks for the reply.

I tried that but once the planets on the left and right side are taken by red and green they are attacking into the one on top constantly from both sides and I cannot hold the one on the top for long this way. After that it is only the starting planet which will also fall after several waves of attack.
Well, it worked for me, guess I was just lucky :-)
Thanks all the same :-) I will continue trying this level. There has to be a way!! x-D

I sent you a friend request. There are a few levels I simply don't have a clue how to beat...
To answer your question (better late than never. Sorry about that!): I beat VISE yesterday and could give you a hand with that. To be honest I really don't know how it is humanly possible to achieve some of the time scores you guys set up! I am sure I am missing some things and it would be great to exchange hints (so far I can only offer Vise as I have not beaten Influx yet).
Let me know please :-)
Tariff is a level I can't seem to beat either. Would also like some help!

I beat Tariff finally and here is how I did it. Max out the biggie. take the upper and max out as well. Then send combined forces of biggie and biggie on top to the small planets one after another. From then on your super-biggie in the middle is no juicy target even without units around it so use the biggie and the upper biggie to really mass up units on both small planets. You will have to hold them for quite a while but the influx of units from the middle biggie and the upper biggie should make it pretty easy to defend them (just shift the stream of units to whichever planet is attacked). at a certain point the small planets are so strong that you can steamroll their toughest planets in their minefields. I was always afraid for my super-biggie because the AI usually goes for weakly defended planets but in this case the minefield keeps them back for a VERY long time! Give it a try :-)
