I still love the game, but it feels a lot like playing Lemmings right now.
Offender caught, officers unharmed, civilians unarmed. Holy RNG.
This really seems like a bug.
I think there's a bug right now that a tired officer can randomly get almost your entire team killed.
I'm pretty sure I sent 3 officers ~1000 each + paddy wagon to that particular mission, and nothing else, without casualties.

Honestly, in such a game, the RNGesus was a bad idea. Makes you lose even if you did everything right.
NOTE: this was a mission without any choices. I didn't order my officers to let it hang and extinguish the fire the way we did as kids...
It is highly unlikely that you made a major mistake (unless you ordered your cops to drop their pants and pee on the fire to extinguish it). This is RNG. Even if you play well you can still lose people. TITP is not like XCOM where you get to position people and react of something goes wrong. It just does the dice rolling in the background and you are left with the result of it.
When ♥♥♥♥ like this happens in a game you can't help but lose absolutely all interest in playing it any further. Thankfully I have only played for a few hours so I will be asking for a refund from steam. This will be the VERY FIRST game I have asked for a refund for. So congrats to the devs on earning that honour, I guess. :/
