mah man ! the same for the same reason .
When Varga wins you get a message saying "The tyrannical rule of the Sand family, which had lasted for generations, has come to an end. The criminal world of Freeburg is transformed beyond recognition. How exactly it will all end up- that's for Vicus Varga to decide."
The only thing I've noted that's different is that instead of Robespierre giving you a letter about Sands, he gives you one about Varga. You can still use the crime trap, investigation trap, and threaten but now Varga does it.
I'm pretty sure the only difference of choosing Varga over Sands is that it's a little more difficult since you have to keep the race close for a bit. If something else happens of note with Varga I'll let you guys know.
Did you figure a way to avoid the coma or what triggers it exactly ? i think it's possible to not cross Varga while helping Sand but not vice versa, if you help Varga and avoid Sand's requests you end up dead everytime.
I managed to not cross Varga while helping sand but got into a coma right after.
Yeah this makes picking Sand all the easier. I mean, I ran through the game once before, and I'm now at the point where I choose between Sand and Varga, and see no benefit to picking Varga.
That's really a problem mechanic of the game, if you pick Varga and it's going to be tougher, there should be a bonus of some kind in it for you, a 100k payout, a mafia that gives you 3 times the value of what Sand did when he sold things for you, something. Maybe a button to help in criminal investigations which Sand never does. That one would be the best, help solve cases in half the time by planting evidence or roughing up a witness. :) This game has such potential.
