Burned out on the game after 12 hours at day 60-ish

Loved the game immediately from the time I first launched it to the first 30-ish days. The high point was the introduction of detective cases.
Then I felt the grind kicking in. Detective cases became repetitive and more tedious once they grew in complexity. The RNG is sometimes borderline unfair, losing half a dozen great cops to a fat people-hating woman.

I couldn't motivate myself to continue any longer.
Is there some fresh gameplay changer coming up in the second half of the game or is it Groundhog Day over and over again?
I had high hopes when they introduced interrogations, but at least the first one was a dud. Maybe the game should have been a lot shorter with more replay value incentives (like an RPG).

Really hope that there is something coming up to keep me going.

I know how you feel, I'm on my 68 day and now I always get killed by mafia, no matter what I do, so it seems the only way to avoid that is load the beginning of the game before coma and help mafia all the time. I hate this kind of games where some minor mistakes you made 10 hours back in the game will cause you to be unable to finish the game later one. Only sierra games in 80's and early 90's did something like this. Now I have to load old game and play 4 hours again those repetitive and boring days. I hope there is somekind of trainer which allows me to change the savefiles, I can't accept this. But because I always try to finish any game which I've bought and started so I'll finish this maybe with help of somekind of guide which tells me what not to do...

6 officers and the SWAT team died...

Makes me not want to bother continuing despite how much I am loving the game. Results seem extremely random.

I finally finished this game, it got pretty boring in middle game but 150-180 were pretty ok, not going to play this again even that getting all achivments would be nice.

In my experience, This is the police 2 fixed alot of things you don't like in the first one. Now the things you choose actually matters. Now when you choose to let the criminals run away they actually escape and not get caught like in the first one. Tactical missions are great. In investigations you have several suspects. Also now your 4 officers don't die to a feminazi with a brass knuckles.
