This game is really hard

I'm about 3 weeks in, and it's unlikely that I'll make another 3 . Can't seem to get along with anybody without doing something corrupt, I can't seem to sort out the investigation slides properly, and I'm constantly having city hall making demands that require me to get rid of good cops or illegally fire others, or ask for a thing which I don't have time to do, and lose funding or something as a result.

Agreed, stopped played after 3 hours because everything i did turned the force against me.

I'll never understand why in a FPS where you shoot people in the head, it's morally acceptable, but if you do something morally wrong as the police chief in this game, it's a moral dilemma, and treated differently. Maybe it's the type of moral choice you have to think about. Point being, try to not to play this as you would in real life, but rather as you would if you were the character. The storyline of the game does work against you in that if you think 3 weeks in you're not beloved, by the last few weeks you'll be outright hated and have to deal with it. :)

as per topic, the game doesn't allow you to take a moralistic stance. it forces you into a balancing act with juggling favors and debts from all the different factions, and penalizes you for trying to stand on the high ground.

This game is Nihilism. Nothing you do will matter, we're all scum, we're all dead in the end. Lol.

Yeah it is hard enough to be annoying. You can never have enough people to do anything - when you screw up, which you will because you dont have enough cops or detectives to cover everything, city hall cuts your budget thus making the problem worse - in the real world, you would have a recourse for this to tell the media what city hall has done and take some heat of yourself but no such option here. The game basically leads you to fail. There is loads more but this is my 7th playthrough and each one seems worse.

At first playthrough it was hard, but when I restarted from day 1 everything went good...
