Stuttering: my solution

Like a lot of people I had those stuttering issues since the game came out.
My configuration: Game installed on D: (HDD), Replays on C: (SDD), GPU: Gtx680 (Latest Drivers 320.18), Xbox wireless pad.

I tried a lot of the solutions which have been suggested here: moving the replay files, moving the replay folders, validating the local files, unplugging USB, checking/setting the CPU Affinity, running in window mode instead of fullscreen but nothing did work. I still had a fps drop every 7 second.

Then I remembered the issues Tomb Raider had at launch and fired nvidiaInspector and clicked the Settings button next to "Driver Version". With the latest nvidia drivers comes in the dropdown a Grid2 profile. I did export it (so I have a backup just in case) and then I did delete the profile from the tool.
Since then, my game does run perfectly (Ultra: 70fps average according the benchmark tool). No more stuttering. (To check it there's no need to run a race, just have a look at the fan on the Event panel)

I did reboot a couple of time to see if it wasn't just a coincidence but it looks like it still continues to do the trick.

If you want to do the same let us know if this fixes it for you too or if I was just lucky...

PS: I just had 1 crash out of the 10 races I was able to run. During a race the game did automatically enter the "pause" screen" and the fps did drop to 20. Keys didn't work and only the "start" button of the controller did restart the game (all the other keys or buttons were unresponsive) but it was then unplayable. (no handbrake, no flashbacks and low fps)

Maybe it's too long for you to read :)

To summarize:
- install nvidia 320.18
- delete the Grid2 profile in nvidia inspector
- no more stuttering (at least for me)

I have no problems with stutterings.
And got better specs tho.

Only with this game....Well, and with Might and Magic Heroes, but only until the company breleased the right pach.
Dirt 2 and Dirt3 worked just fine with my nVidea.

Borderlands 2, Tomb Raider, Bioshock Infinite, GRID 2.. same problem @ the beginning.
