How to turn off MY OWN microphone?

Any ideas? i usually am on teamspeak with friends and don't want the game to pick up my voice. I looked under audio options and can't find anything.

There are NO KEY BINDS for this garbage voip, only way to disable your own microphone is by going to the voice thing and select "none", haha!

Well I found a way that I had to use on Resident Evil 6 before they patched it in, while in-game just minimize, then go to the audio properties of windows and disable then enable your microphone, teamspeak will continue to work but the in-game microphone gets disabled until the game is restarted. Take about 5 secs.

no that actually doesnt turn your own mic. unless its just mine thats bugged out.

no its not just you , we all see our mics open in game, even though i have steam options to work mic only on keypress (and windows mic is off here too )

when im in-game my mic is allways turn on ? and my headset is mutede and im using Xbox 360 controller to play with . what to do ?

Well, i've found out that turning off mic volume in OS in recording section of audio properties turns it off in game. so it's a kind of solution, but when you'll need mic - you have to turn it on.

aw, and also - it can be performed any time - with game in background or not.

But: you cannot use any VOIP during game(
