DirectX 10 (Solved)

Hi, will the game support DirectX 10? What do you think? I think it will be, but need proof, because I want to pre-order the game. Please, help. (Solved (Post #4))

Well the game runs on Vista/WIn7/WIn8 according to it's specs page.

Win 7 & 8 have Direct X11 and apprently the game supports that, in fact it states that it's the only thing it does support?

The highest Vista goes is Direct X10 which apprently the game also supports.

Either Codies made a ♥♥♥♥ up on the "Requirements" and forgot to put it down to Direct 9 or 10 or this thing only runs on Direct X11 and the whole "runs on Vista" thing is a lie.

Sorry this might not seem helpful, you might want to contact steam support or codies themselves for a more informative answer.

If you do a little more research, you'll find out that the game supports only DirectX11, but it can also work with older cards that are DirectX10 compatible.
But even if your video card is DirectX10, your system must have DirectX11 installed in order to run the game.
No DirectX9 anymore, sorry XP users, but you should've moved long ago.

There is a Microsoft update to allow Vista to support DX11. That update was released in 2009 so most Vista users will already have DX11 support.

Run dxdiag.exe, on the System tab you will find the DX version.

Most (recent) games when installing will install the Vista DX11 support if it is required and it is not present.
