GRID 2
Nvidia Card Owners!!!!- Ref Game Driver-grid2 vsync issue
Does anyone else with an nvidia card have to roll back there drivers to 320.49 to fix the v sync lag issue?? Im sooooooo sick of swapping my drivers over all the time. Why cant the newest patches just have alll the fixes from previous versions i just dont get it. It seems when nvidia fix an issue they do it at the cost of other games.
Now we are on driver 331.58 and it still has this problem. For me anyways lol. It runs like a dream on the 320.49 driver but like i say its such a pain in the ass.
Can anyone help

Enable vsync from nvidia control panel = lag every 10 -15 sec
Disable nvidia vsync = evil screen tear (no thank you)

running 675m on a mx17r4

did u tryed to set the vsync in nvidia cotnrol pannel to Adaptive ?
Plattenleger Jan 10, 2014 @ 2:02pm
the thing is that i dont have adaptive option in nvidia control panel, just on or off :/

i just found out that my gpu does not support adaptive vsync, anyway usualy all games run fine with standart vsync turned on, just this one is stuttering

It's more the option of a driver , im still using the 327.23 Driver for my GPU and it's eating the games , i remember ater this version a new update come out , i have updated it and on all my games the FPS droped down 10-15 so i noticed il keep my 327.23 Driver for my GPU and turned of the Auto Update.

Finally , this driver is one of the best so far i have used for my GPU!

But you are right , they just fixing on new driver for High End GPU's , nothing really for every version is there. I remember a i byed Battlefield 4 they are forced peoples to update the latest driver , right ater that , i get a lot problems on each game , lags , crashes , Freeze's , so im dowgraded it back to this 327 and im just ignored the essage: You will have problems if you now upgrade to the lattest driver.

ahh yea, forget to say it , you can try to force GRID2 to run with DX10 , there is not a big deal in gameplay but it's increase your FPS , you can try it maybe your lags will go away , if im not wrong , your gpu is just 657 MHz and a 128bit and thats a bit slow even if you run it on low setting !

How to force GRID2 to run DX10

go to : C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\My Games\GRID 2\hardwaresettings

there is a file called hardware_settings_config.xml open it in notepad and press CRTL+F tipe in DX and it will redirect you to <directx forcedx10="false" /> , now change the false to true and save !

Run and see is it better or still the same.. Hope it's helps.

yeah i know what you mean, i was using an old 314.22 driver until now, because any newer just made things worse :)

Imagine that , my friend is still using the simple driver that he become's with the GPU CD and he does not have any problem , and same ♥♥♥♥ happens to him too with the latest driver as he buyed BF4 and needed to upgrade it..

Well , now we are sure , it's not ever cool to be "Up to date" : )

thanks for reply, but i dont have problems with lag at all on grid 2, i run it on high with 50 - 60 fps, just with vsync on it introduces a stuttering every 10 seconds or so, even then fraps is showing about 50 fps, its a vsync issue, because when i turn i off game runs perfectly, except that then i see a screen tearing from time to time :)
