I have 2 other USB controllers plugged in, one of which I keep disabled in the device Manager (it's a flight stick and I rarely use it), but they don't seem to affect the controls at all.
Very frustrating to say the least :(
I've tried looking for a config or settings file, but only seems to be for hardware (audio and video) settings, can't find a file that seems to be related to input bindings.
Anyone who can shed some light on this I'd very much appreciate it,
Thanks :)
Using an old Logitech Rumblepad II, doesn't save the settings.
then chose the deafult direct device choice (ingame) and it will remember you after that, but all the keys have to be edited in the XML. there are threads around on how to do this, i did it with 3 days of trial and error so im no guide on how to do it for yours. however i have one for a logitech 3d extreme flightstick if anyone but me drives with one ill email it.
GRID 1 : 9,5/10
GRID 2: 5,5/10
the problem here is $$. not the getting it as such. but when a game company makes a great first game ( grid). there is a light that gets lit in the greed box of all the execs when they see people LIKE the first game. so then the push becomes to get a sequal out before the fascination with the first one dies down. and ANYTHING done on a time line will ALSO be done on a budget. almost ANY good idea or feature will be canned in order to shove it out the door.
( like female names in the charcter gen, demo derby and oh yea spin recovery physics, AI physics, AI skill, Oh and a replay system that DOESNT immediatly send you insto a DIF but equally ridiculous unavoidable crash)! so as you can see its not about DLC. THAT little cancer was going to come no matter what. cause its the way of game design these days. but putting out such a shoddy CORE game is all on those greedy execs who got hired for their "mangerial" skills and have NO ~CREATIVE EXPLITIVE~ IDEA what playing a game is like. they sell you a DVD sleeve with warm poo in it if the bottom line would go up .0001% and theyd get a taint rub from the guy above them on the ladder..
i understand the business of business is business.
HOWEVER the REASON you made so much from grid1 is cause it was AWESOME!
not beacause it was given the budget and time line of a DVD sleeve full of POO
which OH YEA! BTW! toilet paper and a sani-knap are extra DLCs
Chose the MOMO Racing wheel pre-set, then changed a couple button bindings, worked well during that game session, then came back later and had to re-do it all over again.
So irritating!
Hope it will be solved.
I also have a MOMO Racing wheel and changes to the controller profile in game were not saved for me either. The only workaround that worked for me was editing the respective profile file outside in the Grid 2 folder. It wasn't straightforward as the numbering for the buttons are offset by either +1/-1, can't remember. I found the description for the method somewhere here on the forums by the way.
On the welcome screen pressing button on the wheel instead of Enter at least defaulted to loading the MOMO profile.
Hope this helps somewhat.
