GRID 2

GRID 2, Steam and Windows 10
So I've been playing GRID 2 for over a year now without any problems what so ever, on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. Then I upgraded to Windows 10, and now it crashes after 5-10 minutes, and I get the message "Steam servers are too busy to handle your request" (or something very similar), and the error code (41). I've searched the forums here and Google to try to find a solution, but no go. I've checked file integrity, I've deactived my firewall and antivirus, and nothing helps. Every other game seem to work fine on Win 10, including DiRT 3 (from the same developer). I tried contacting Codemasters, but got no help. They only told me that GRID 2 isn't supported in Windows 10, and they had no plans of releasing a patch for it, and then went on to recommend I verify my files.

Anyone experienced something similar, or can offer any insight into this problem?

I have a development. I set the grid2.exe up to run in Win 8 compatability mode, and now the game crashes my PC completely, I get blank screen with only the mouse reacting. Had to reset the PC to get it up and running again. Only tried it once, though.
Disable touchpad on Win10

I use a desktop computer, I don't have a touchpad. Is this something that still needs to be disabled?

Simply as get: don't use Windows 10, yet.

OK, so, I've just played it uninterrupted for over 30 minutes, and I actually got to quit the game for the first time in ages. Like I mentioned, I don't have a touchpad, but I do have a Wacom Intuos Pro (which, to those that don't know, is a drawing tablet, and in many ways functions as a touchpad, only much larger), and that appears to have been the source of my troubles. I deactived it and fired up GRID 2, and like I said, I've just played for over 30 minutes, and it didn't crash. So I might have solved the problem.

Yeah, not really helpful. And trouble with ONE game out of all the games I have is hardly a reason not to use Windows 10.
Touchpad is a Win10 service, Google how to disable

Well i had the same problem once i started Grid 2 on my new system.

I just started it with Compatibility Mode on Win XP - Then Vista (sp 2) and then just started it as Original without checking the box. And voilá - It works just fine. No Idea how that happened.

Open task manager and terminate TabTip.exe before playing. It may or may not be necessary to also open the game's folder and set the .exe to run in Windows 7 compatibility mode.
