I have heard the newest NFS game isn't very good. The rubber-banding of the AI is very excessive amongst other things. Even IGN gave it a low score and they always review too high because of bribes from the developers for add-space or whatever other legal means there is. They even gave 2012 Most Wanted a 9... I also remember them giving a glowing review for Grid 2, saying that the physics was realistic, which is not even an opinion, but objectively far from the truth.
I am currently enjoying Grid 2, but I am looking more for an open world racing game, and the handling in Grid 2 is pretty awful, especially considering the game was marketed as having very realistic physics. The storyline is also giving me a bit of a headache with youtube followers as the currency, and not really being able to earn and work up to getting a car. I like that choice of having to decide which car I want, and then being able to customize it beyond a paint job. The lack of customization of cars is also putting me off a bit. I played this game when it first came out and hated it, but I recently picked it up in a steam sale and giving it another shot. Codemasters really screwed up by marketing this game as a sim instead of an arcade racer. Grid 1 was a nice balance between the 2, but this one is further in the arcade direction. I would like a racing game that has a fair bit of depth in online play. And, I don't mind a bit of an arcade feel. Finding something with all these traits may not exist, but I will look more into the suggestions in this thread.
I also got Grid Autosport on a sale so I will give that one a shot soon.
And I saw GTA V mentioned in here a few times. I don't play that anymore cause Rockstar has terrible customer support policies, and was doing very little to combat the cheating, and the cheating isn't just giving yourself speed boosts, but exploding everyone elses cars and freezing them and there was at least 1 idiot in every session doing it, and that is just for the racing. The handling is also atrocious with cars having no weight to them at all. It's sufficient for a crime game, but for a racing game, no bueno.
glad that i havent bought a dlc 2 years back .
i wanted the dlc only to have this m3 but this is just money making instead of including this car for free with less performance.
well i dont know more racing games, nfs is on the top of my list (and i havent much on that list..)
well anyone who fells free to giving him a advice should do it.
