I don't think you will, unless you like the hackers online an pretty bad slamming activities
As a SP game, I enjoyed it, but i actually prefer Dirt 2 more, just because you do more, can get the car sideways in a looser grip fashion
Plus the cars are more varied and as well as the tracks
Graphically Grid 2 is great, also runs very well optimized too

I prefer racing with Muscle cars, something about that sloppier feeling and the car sounds

What would you recommend? NFS: Hot Pursuit was a total flop for me. Sadly, NFS: Carbon is not available on steam. When it comes to racing games, I'm a causal gamer who doesn't mind a good (city) race here and there. I don't care for car modding, but I like it to drive different cars. I liked Gran Tourismo back in those days. Oh and Porsche Challenge on PS1 :)

Unfortunately this is a really hard one to answer, Grid 2 does fit your needs, BUT only if you want to play casual as in SP, online is a mess
GT is it its own class, PC was fantastic too especially with the newer analog PS1 controller

Project Cars is too complicated for little reward, NFS Shift is very similar to pC, NFS Rivals is awesome but can only be played online and this can be frustrating

Personally I would not buy Grid 2 for the $ they're asking here, it can be picked up cheaper elsewhere

Thanks! Single Player is ok, I don't care for online racing. That's why NFS: HP is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. And I think I'd need up-to-date graphics, more or less. So Gran Tourismo and Porsche Challenge were great back in those days, but I doubt I could play them again today. So, I don't think any other older NFS game would do it.

Grid 2 is on sale with 75% off, that's not that bad! Well, thanks, I'm gonna think about it!

I know game and the Crew has many better options then Grid 2!
"THE CREW" is a fantastic game and Steam offers it for Cheap!
It's open World and many of the Racing Crews are over there from N.F.S. World!
I knew many of the top Moderators from P-Stats Who Did the Moderating for N.F.S. World Game.
I know people in many of the Top Racing Games and some Moderators actully do Care about helping people...Not Trolling them Like Snake likes to do!
As many know I'm 44 years old and well knowen in the Racing World!
I really think "THE CREW" will be fun & the Moderators over there are good guys!
They Don't troll you like Snake loves to do!
The matter of the fact is Grid 2 has lost most of it's online players...there is zero playing in USA at night....you will turn 100 years old before getting any players online in USA.
There is only players on the London U.K. and they just cheat in the lobbys!
I know others who have been here longer then me that have shared that with many top figures!
So Abandon Grid 2 while you have time....Go to a game that is fun and more like N.F.S. Carbon or World game.

Dude, I'm a casual racing gamer, and I'm looking for a single player game to drive a lap or two from time to time. I don't care for an online mode and I even care less for crews or clans. I liked Carbon, Gran Tourismo and Porsche Challenge, but I'm not bound to them till the end of my life. This game is on sale and your favorite is not. I'm not willing to spend more money than necessary, and I'm not even sure whether I really need a racing game only because I liked it 20 years ago.

Besides that, I really like a city setting with 'civilian' cars, and a more or less dumb story with appropriate dumb guys whose self esteem depends on fast cars. So, that's what holds me back here. If you think you could contribute something usefull here to my thread, I'll appreciate it, otherwise just shut the f.uck up.

I can't get my no name controller running with the game. Graphics look nice, though, but I don't like the car I get, is that a Muscle car? I never liked them.
