Simply put race Driver Grid wins a single player content by huge factor with both of it's successors that you mentioned.
Are they different? Grid2 will remind a lot of Old Burnout games in a sense that drifting is a way to go for most of the corners if you want to be quick, while some claim that keyboard is hard way to play it and controller can be hard to use because you have no in-game settings like deadzone. it is just a matter of practice to get pretty decent at it.
Graphics wise. Matter of prefference. Grid2 looks really decent if not good even for todays standards but you got simillar brown filter to the one from Race Driver on some of the tracks.
I like to call Grid2 a hardcore arcade too. You got no assists and racing line so all comes to learn the tracks and car behaviours by simply racing.
Grid Autosport on other hand went more with sim like approach. it is a still arcade though, codemasters failed at some parts there while trying to put new mechanics in game.
In Gas you have most of Grid2 tracks + some of race Driver Grid circuits like San Francisco.
Gas have plenty of assissts you can use to your likings. GAS have decenty choice of cars and classes to race on.
In the end GAS main focus is multiplayer which can be played, is alive but defenitely is not as active as some would like to.
Single player in Both Grid2 and Grid Autosport is a mixture of random events altough in Grid2 they managed to somehow add more flavour to it by putting the simpliest possible story into it. Aka you are the maijhn driver-star and it is jour job to make the event rise and shine.
So if you look for Singple player go for 1st Grid.
If you look quick fast paced racing with races that feel like a real spectacular fireworks event go for Grid2.
If you look for slower approach with more track oriented nature go for GAS ( Grid AutoSport )
Hope that clears up a bit stuff.
Then, why don't you get your fingers out of your lazy a r s e and TRY them!!
You might even find you have an opinion of your own afterwards. Stranger things have happened.
Or do you need help for that too?
Lazy git!
Look, i got a helpful answer from a nice person not even 1 hour after i posted the question.
So why dont you should STFU? I preferred engaging in conversation and getting other opinions over spending hours of trying both games, alright? Get a life, man.
Actually i wasn't aware of which of the older game i own. It's just called GRID in my library, but the link to the store page isnt working so i guess it doesnt have a store page anymore. Realized it must be Race Driver: GRID. Edited the question. And your answer applies perfectly. Thanks again.
