Is it safe to purchase Grid 2 steam keys from non steam sites?

I want to play Grid 2 and Dirt 3 but these games are not available on steam. However I found these games on a couple of other sites. Would I still be able to activate, download and play these games if I purchase keys outside of steam?

However you have to be warned. Some of these might be scams ( already redeemed key, not getting key at all etc )

Try cjs cd keys. I bought the Grid2 dlc packs I'm using in Steam. There was no hassles for me. Only because I couldnt get it from Steam but it all went alright.

Yes for the most part it's safe to buy (depends on the site), there's a very very small chance you might get an already used key (you can request a new key), but than again it's not like you wasted lots of money in the first place, Grid 2 or Dirt 3 complete edition costs less than 1€ on G.2.A. or I.n.s.t.a.n.t. g.a.m.i.n.g.
