I know some player like Red River, but if you want to play it, you need to find the player who have the Red river to give you full version with crack.

the game works.. you have to install GFWL from one of the top discussions here.. it works.

Alternatively, you can get it on Ebay (Like David said above), or buy a key. Remember that now the official game is in limited qauntity, so price will differ.

It could be fixed quite easily and still work. It was just a bad GFWL package included with game that was broken. It however doesn't work under Proton due to graphical glitches for the most part (main menu doesn't even render).

I've tried to get some movement on fixing that under github but it probably never be looked at since the game is no longer available on the store front.

what you need to do is add 2 files to your main which will allow you to bypass GFWL . https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/22591?tab=files&file_id=1000013331, then you run from launcher... that is litterally it
Thes are 2 modded DLL's from GFWL some dude made it for another game a while back to fix a similar issue and it happens to work for any game from that platform.... I actually read about this fix on PCgaming wiki. Well im off to get balls deep, its been a looooong time

Oh I forgot to mention... you'll have to Have access to the install DVD to actually install game. Unless you own a steam key. they wont sell it but you can download it if owned. As for where to obtain a Copy physically.... Use your imagination... Hope this helps someone as frustrated at this issue as I was.
