This game workign without any issue on my Windows 10.

All you have to do is to install the latest version of GFWL wich you can download here

https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=201134

I've tried to download this several times, but it won't ever connect or work. Tried this on both 8.1 and 10 :/

GFWL ? = Games for Windows Live

You cant login to Hotmail stuff , without to have an Hotmail account ?

Would you be available to Login to Gmail with an Hotmail email ? NO Right ;)

Now you known , its not the games fault , or even GFWL fault , not even from Microsoft , it's your's fault and thats why GFWL games won't work on any of the systems you are using..

This game will NOT work in Win10. Not because of GFWL but because Microsoft won't allow Securom to work in Win10. The only way this could possibly work is if your win10 installation is an upgrade of a copy of windows that already had Securom installed on it.

Fresh installed Windows 10 on my rig >> downloaded ISO from Microsoft website and done a clean installation.

Not upgraded / updated from any previous windows version like Win 7 / Win 8 or Win 8.1

F1 2010 Works just fine on Windows 10 Pro 64x

My way to get it work was to run the GFWL setup manually from the game folder. That version didn't run anyway, but running the setup once more brought me to a direct download page with the latest version of GFWL. Installing this one made my game running instantly. To create a profile ingame, follow the GFWL popup and scroll down to select 'create a local profile' (may be hidden and just written in blue letters).
Hope this could help those, who also got the game in sale and had no idea how to get it running.

GFWL is not updated in any of the games nowdays that request it to play. So we all have to download the Latest version of GFWL from Microsoft to be available to run those games normall.

Nothing complicated but some guys dont get it right or even cracking down the game to play it at singleplayer only.

Those of you that can't get the game to open, Neither could I. But i manged to get it working on Windows 7 (64-bit but im pretty sure that doesn't matter) and Windows 10. Not sure if this will work for anyone else but it worked for me so i guess its worth a try.

Go to: C:/Program Files(x86)/Steam/Steamapps/common/F1 2010/Redist

Then go into the folder called rapture3d, Run and install the application in there.

When thats done go back to the redist folder, Then go into the OpenAL folder and install that application too.

Lastly, Go back to the redist folder, Go into the gfwl folder and install that application.

Hope it Helps :D

Thanks for the suggestion but it didn't work for me.
CM should be fixing this issue.
It is precisely why I won't buy anything else from them.
This is pure abandonware.

APC900, try this, it helped me after i tried for two weeks to make this game works:

Uninstall GFWL. Download it's installer on:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=5549

Exec the installer in compatibility mode with Windows 7.

Install the game F1 2010 from Steam

Go to the folder of F1 2010, in my case:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\F1 2010

Install the .exe files in \Redist\OpenAl and \Redist\Rapture3D (install them in compatibility mode with "Windows 7")

Set the "F1_2010_game.exe" in compatibility mode with "Vista (Service Pack 2)"

Right click the "f1_2010.exe" and click something like "Fix compatibility troubleshooting", and then the second of the two options. Then check the boxes saying that your software worked on a previous version of Windows, and that it have permission issues. In the next screen you should say that it worked on "Vista (Service Pack 2)". Click next, and try.

It worked for me to get the game opened. Once the game opens, GFWL will ask for you to create an account or log-in. You can create a new account, and in something like a "terms service" you can click on a text link that allows you to go for a off-line account. Do it.

That's it. After i tried everything, and nothing works, i take these steps and it workes for me, FINALLY. x)))

I hope it work for you!
