Im not using vsync or antialiasing I have a Nvidia GT650 M 8 gb of RAM and a I5 2.66Ghz Im supposed to be able to run this game at max come on....
VintenDio May 11, 2017 @ 7:37am
The game as really bad framerate on my end at random times its annoying as hell...
VintenDio May 11, 2017 @ 8:09am
Ok with your fix my framerate are really more stable now Its actually enjoyable thanks pal!
VintenDio May 11, 2017 @ 8:11am
Nevermind its starting lagging again... Gonna wait for a performance patch I guesz

how can a game with 2000 or even early graphic run like ♥♥♥♥ on a low end PC of these days? i mean how..
catsmackaroo May 11, 2017 @ 8:19am
This is irritating. I should just get a refund and get it on PS4 I guess...waste of time.
VintenDio May 11, 2017 @ 8:21am
Im not even getting 60 fps on the lowest resolution... But the game is fun as hell guys
VintenDio May 11, 2017 @ 8:22am
My poor laptop runs GTA V at med 45 fps constant this is just bad optimization but I really love the game though pretty fun!!!

I recommand to anyone who hasnt bough the game yet to wait for a performance fix even gtx 1070 had problem running this game at a constant framerate and high one
catsmackaroo May 11, 2017 @ 8:28am
I'm just going to get a refund. I'm really disapointed at the moment. I might wait a week, but I doubt it.

No idea if this will help you, but I've posted it elsewhere for others, and it's helped me a lot, so it's worth a try. Note that this will only help if you have an nVidia GPU, and similar specs.

My specs:

Windows 7 Home Professional 64-Bit
8GB DDR4 1333
GTX 660 2GB
Phenom II 965 BE (Just made the minimum requirements lol. I swear this is still a great budget CPU, it runs everything, except some things that demand SSSE3 and SSE 4.1 which need patches to work around. See No Man's Sky. But I digress. Not a problem in Strafe!)
Crappy 7200 RPM SATA 3 HDD (I think it's Seagate.)

nVidia driver version
(NOT the most recent, tested both, this one wins out - take note): 381.89

nVidia Control Panel custom profile for Strafe
(Manage 3D Settings > Program Settings > Add > Navigate to the strafe location, which is listed therein you just have to look for it):

Ambient Oclusion (Not Supported/greyed out)
Anisotropic Filtering: Application Controlled
FXAA: On
Gamma Correction: On
Antialiasing Mode: Application Controlled
AA Setting: Application Controlled (greyed out due to above selection)
AA Transparency: Off
CUDA GPUs: All
Max Pre-rendered frames: Use 3D Application Setting
Multi-Display: (Adjust as appropriate for your GPU and display setup; mine is Single Display Performance)
Power Mgmt: Prefer Maximum Performance
Shader Cache: On
Texture Filtering:
AF Sample Optimization: Off
Neg LOD Bias: Allow
Quality: High Performance
Trilinear Opt: On
Threaded Optimization: Auto
Triple Buffering: On
V-Sync:Use 3D Application Setting
VR pre-rendered frames: Use 3D App Setting

Apply the above settings for the Strafe profile. There will be a brief hang. Wait. Once the Apply button vanishes and the hang stops, exit nVidia Control Panel.

nVidia Inspector
(Download it from a reputable site, such as Guru3D. It doesn't need to be the latest version.)

1) Run the Inspector Profile program, not the general Inspector (or click the button to launch the Profiles from within the Inspector.

2) To the right of the house icon at the top is a small drop down arrow. Click it, and navigate to your Strafe profile.

3) Scroll down to limit frame rate. Select the closest one available to 60 (in my case, and I think this is standard, 61.7 fps)

4) Click Apply To Profile

Close the Inspector program(s.)

IN-GAME Settings:

AA 4x
V-Sync OFF (this way you get the massive performance boost of V-Sync being off, but with your fps limited to 60 in the above steps via Inspector, you don't get the GPU overheating issue many have reported due to it running hot at 200+ fps even on low end hardware like mine.)
FULLSCREEN: On
Make Strafe look worse: Off
720p @60Hz (change to your liking or as performance demands, though this setting doesn't make much of a difference on my system. I suspect the game is CPU bottlenecked on my system.)

RESULTS

Constant 61 fps with very occasional dips into the 50s or high 40s. Much smoother, much more playable. (Only real choppiness I get now is during the level transition areas, which is a normal part of the game's design for the time being.)
Thanks the Inspector really help boosting my framerate!

Nevermind but at least I don't need to have fear of overheating now... Still they need to release a performance patch

Just a couple of days ago (before the game released) i've read a comment from a dev somewhere about that; i can't find it at the moment, but one of them wrote something along the lines of "even though Strafe looks like it has bad graphics, there's still a lot of modern stuff running under the hood".
My personal guess from other games i've played is that it's becouse of the Unity engine, which can be quite a resource hog sometimes; i've seen it ramp up a lot of RAM myself in 7 days to die and War for the Overworld (both made in Unity).

There's also an ungodly frig-ton of physics objects being rendered, like those little cans, spent ammo casings, and giblets from enemies, all of which start taking a toll pretty quickly when the biological waste byproduct hits the rotating air circulation device.

I can run ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GTA V and dishonored at max with always 60fps in 1080p dude... Plz
