No 16:10 Resolution Support
Just a word of caution to anyone else using a 16:10 screen; the game doesn't support 16:10 resolutions. It forces you into a 16:9 resolution via letterboxing, and there's no way around it. Most likely 16:9 is the only aspect ratio the game supports.

This has apparently been the case since release and it doesn't seem like it's very high on their list of priorities (if at all). I get that they're a small studio, but I really don't think that's an excuse for something as trivial as support for different aspect ratios (which Unity has no issues with btw).

Bottom line, if you don't have a 16:9 monitor and the idea of playing a game letterboxed bothers you, you should probably hold off on buying this until they (hopefully) support non-standards ARs.

Strange that I havent encountered this. I havent played in a while tho.

On a sidenote 16:10 should be the standard.

Standard is just classed as current perceved winner which is 16:9 (check main monitor resolutions on http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/ ), I did have a 16:10 at one point and as great as it is to have the extra pixels when you want a lot of workspace it sadly isnt standard and letter boxing was common at the time when I was playing games and especially when watching things fullscreen.

That aside a 3d game like strafe should be able to support 16:10 resolution but I cant really speak for it as I have no monitor to test the resolution on.
Yeah, I've had this monitor probably for about 7-8 years (I bought it not knowing it was 16:10, young me was stupid) and oh boy was it bad around that time. Since most games were desgined with consoles in mind, and HDTVs were most commonly 16:9, pretty much every major game was letterboxed.
It has gotten a lot better lately though, which is why I'm kind of annoyed when I come across a game that doesn't support it.
And considering other Unity titles can do 16:10, I don't see why STRAFE would be an exception.

We addressed resolution restrictions in the first or second patch of the game. I believe this bug to be specific to you. We have people playing the game on 4:3 and ultra wide monitors as well as 16:9. I am happy to look into this issue but I believe your words of caution are not correct.

This bug isn't specific just to him, I'm experiencing the same thing.

I can see 1920x1200 (16:10) in the list of supported resolutions, but can't select it as a resolution. The highest selectable resolution is 1920x1080 (16:9). See screenshot below. This effectively causes the game to run with black borders on top and bottom.

To be honest, I don't mind, but it's simply untrue this is an issue specific to the OP's setup.

@RiptoR Are you playing on OSX?

Like I said, I'm happy to look into the issue. And I'm not blaming either of you there is clearly something specific making this happen it just requires information from the effected people for me to be able to tell what could or could not be going wrong.

Ok, I'll concede that I was wrong. In fact I'm glad that I'm wrong.
I'd greatly appreciate it if you could help me out on the issue, then maybe I can write a guide or something so other people experiencing it might be able to troubleshoot.

Anyway I suppose I can start by giving you my system specs, if that helps.

Asus Z170 Pro Gaming Mobo
GTX 1060 6GB
i5-6600k @ 4.0GHz
8GB DDR4 RAM
Win 10 Enterprise 64Bit

Whatever else you need let me know and hopefully we can figure out what the problem is.

Edit: Also, my issue is basically the same as RiptoR's, so I guess it's not OS specific.
