There are 6 types of weapons: Gladius Lancea Hasta Pugio Fascina Sica... Two of them means Spear...Two of them means dagger...

Do they have just different names with the same function?

It is good idea to give information about weapons in tooltip.

Based on the actual history of gladiators, I think that the following six should be the main types of weapons:
1) Sword (100% damage)
2) Spear (80% damage and 20% defense penetration)
3) Dagger (80% damage and 20% Crit chance/bonus)
4) Mace (80 damage and 20% stun chance 1 turn)
5) Axe (80% damage + 15% Bleed damage per turn, 2 turns)
6) Whip (80% damage and non-dodgeable and non-parriable)

In addition, each weapon can also be strong and weak against one type of weapon.
Sword>Dagger>Mace>Axe>Spear>Whip>Sword

Based on a actual history of gladiators weapons should come in sets. Like trident+net, like square shield + gladius etc.
