Sick of these negative reviews.

Honestly, I expected something better since the release of PWI on steam. But so far I've only read the reviews from people, who mostly call themselves "old players" that whine about how bad PWI has become. Really?

I have played PWI since 2009. I can ASSURE you PWI has changed to the better.
1. To all the oldies out there, remember how many mobs we had to kill for a lame reward? 70-75 at high levels. If you had to collect that many items from mobs, then the number increased to almost 100. And what now? The chance of drop is 95-100%, the amount is 10-15. Is that bad? I don't think so. Not mentioning a bunch of new quests that were added a few years later.
2. Myself, I had taken a break in 2014 for a year because I got addicted to other games. I came back just a month before the Steam release, to find out how much easier the gameplay has become.
2a) Roll Call - there used to be an NPC in Archosaur that you had to visit to get this quest, now it is taken automatically on login. Is it bad?
2b) Unique reward - there used to be a box that you can open each 5 levels, which always took up a slot in your inventory, now it is just an icon on your screen. Is that bad?
2c) Quest tracking - there were no autopath at all, especially to quest locations. Now there is (and it is more advanced now, not just straight through walls/obstacles like it used to be)
2d) Leveling up - it took me just 1 day to reach level 42, and a month to reach 100. Can't say I devoted a lot of time daily to the game.
I could add a lot of examples here, it is simply not the point of my post.

3. Now about the other claims found in most of the negative reviews.
3a) P2W. Honestly, who forces people to donate to the game? No one. Yes, you can spend a ton of your time(or not a ton, there are factions for a reason)just to farm G16 (Warsong) gear, or you can just exchange your real money into virtual. There's a ton of ways you can make money in PWI without investing tons of your own. Probably R9 is tougher to make, but if your point is to wreck people in PVP, then I can't recommend you much, as I prefer PVE, and averagely refined G16 will suffice for it.
And yes, no one forces you to buy items directly from boutique, as usually they are far more expensive there. PWI has its own trading features - catshops, commission shops, the auction at the very least.
3b) Overpriced R9R4/G17. As I already stated, no one forces you to donate. PWI wants you to farm this gear, and not just solve the problem of "hey, I want this stuff so badly" just with money. Never thought of that? Think again.
3c) Merging servers - well, here I might be wrong but when ever did PWI disclose the number of active players? AFAIK, never. So the merging might had been done just for the sake of less hardware costs. And yes, if you left the game, it does not mean that "playerbase is shrinking", you are just a tiny bit of that playerbase.

So that is probably it, hopefully this flame stops eventually.

PS: I never said PWI is perfect. I see some flaws in current version, but describing them is, again, not a point of my post.

I can easily get your poor level of gear without cash shop but no one can get high-end gear without cash shop.

What a piece of ♥♥♥♥ thread OP. You defend the game and even include, "If your goal is to PVP then I can't recommend it" You try and defend the pay to win nature of this game then bluntly say how the PVP is clearly pay to win.

My wife has never paid 1 single $ on PWI, and yet she has endgame gear :)
All of the people on steam who complain that PWI is pay 2 win are just too lazy to farm their own gear and expect to get their rank 9 given to them for free by the game. That's not how this game (and life) works, u have to put effort into something before u'll get more stuff out of it.

Stop complaining and go farm.

So, if you don't have the r9r3 "PvP" weapon, you will never (at least on dawnglory server) be able to farm the g17 "PvE" weapon… (I bet it's more or less the same on other servers)

No those be speed runners you are talking about. Most people who advertise UP squads want to speed run not take new players with them. If your a cleric they could care less what gear you have long as you can heal. Its the DD and Tank class that require gear to run it.

Like I said many who are rushing to get the dungeon done are not interested in taking new players. Its a well known fact these people are impatient players who don't want to slow down.
