Question about dps

Hello guys , i'm actually downloading the game , and i'm asking if we can play priest as dps ?

Because there are only few classes and i like to play something who is polyvalent

Or if i shall turn for something else

cant have your cake and eat it too. if your a healer then be a healer else be a mage.

I have a healer in my guild and she plays the healer as dps, meaning she solos a LOT of stuff, every class has dps skills, I just think your going to be relying on more +'d up gear than most if your expecting your healer to solo heroic dungeons because the not so much dps damage the healers do compared to the other dps classes like mages, berserkers, assassins.. etc.

Nope. And no that Talent "Tree" where you could pick to level a few (3) main attributes doesn't count as skill tree.

EVERY class has melee, and ranged skills, especially that you can range skill monsters on mounts, and you get all different sets of skills for your mount weapons also.. the mount weapons are Lance and Crossbow. You can fight on ground and flying mounts once you hit a certain point.. like lvl 13+(ish).. when you basically get a saddle, weapon and crystal to equip on your chosen mount.. which by the way you can craftthese also.

At the moment theres ONLY five classes to choose in game and theres NO spec tree for skills or different paths you can chose to build your class in talent trees. There's set skills and you learn each as you level and each skill will level more than once.. so say you get lightning strike at level 5.. at level 10 you'll get lightning strike 2.. etc.

(In my experience:)
Currently, Priest is viable for single-target DPS, but that is about it right now and you have to be very quick with your self-heals and choose between self-healing and dealing damage at the correct times. Priests can solo every Heroic dungeon, but it takes quite some time compared to any other class.

Priests have 4 different spells that do significant Damage Over Time which can cheese any boss/Elite, as one of them is also a Fear.

That all being said, I don't recommend going Priest if you specifically want to DPS. It's difficult, and not optimal (every other class does it miles better better).

I'm probably going to do a wizard so , and when i will want to do some melee i'll just mount and use lance :p

keep in mind your able to equip a crossbow and a lance at the samr time and you can switch in battle so you can instantly switch on a mount from melee to range with one button. But as for DPS wizard is a good choice :) i play a Wizard.
