how to tame

im trying to tame a femiliar, the first quest you have 10 minutes for. How do i actually get on the horses back?

Use the skill, press K and press the mount tab

Not sure if it's based on the control scheme, but on "classic", you just use the skill, select the familiar, go up to the familiar, then space when you're close enough. If your jump isn't space, it should give you a prompt of what key to press.

[Two-Timer-Twan]

The skill looks like a dog with a green border around it, use that sneak up to the beast/just approach it even though this makes it a bit harder. and when it says press space just hit space and kinda aim your body at its back.
