How is Guardian?
Is Guardian a good class for solo? Can it do enough damage compared to a Berserker?

made it to 25 solo literally only dieing once or twice to a boss. damage may not seem great, but can has great survivability, as you'd except.

haven't played berserker, would assume the zerk does more damag tho.

also really sick with the full frozen set, obtained it today and now steamroll everything :)

Thanks, I think I have decided Guardian. How's the AOE by the way? I have heard that no classes have good AOE, but I've seen some pretty good AOE in gameplay videos. Can you pull lots of mobs together and kill them at once at all?

yeah it has some aoe, the main ability which you obtain at lvl 15 called hakains grasp pulls all enemies near you together.

this can then combo with many other skills for aoe stuns, and some skills can dish out a lot of aoe damage.

so yes, you can pull and kill lots at once!

I am playing guardian too cuz I love the play style and became lvl 18 already. Unfortunately from youtube videos I watch in korean version. Guardian is not good for tower of challenge. The guy only reached lvl 32 with guardian while lvl 36 with berserker, lvl 39 with ranger/wizard and lvl 41 with assasian :). All of them at lvl 55 but gear may different and can affect alot ofcourse but you also need a decent damage for soloing and guardian's damage is below average.

i don't like that each class is role specific... and i really don't like that they gave them a rating system.. that is stupid as hell especially when each class fills its own role theres only 1 tank class 1 heal class and 3 dps class but they all have their pros and cons but that doesn't mean 1 is easier than the other ♥♥♥♥ shooting spells from a far with no worries about taking melee dmg from bosses seems like an awfully easy class to play >.>

I love Tanks in general, and I hate the class. Unless I am completely missing something (which wouldn't surprise me terribly, since the information on skills an abilities is so poorly designed that it takes a good ten minutes of searching just to see which skills work off of each other) it kind of fails at the very idea of being a 'Tank'.

Here's my definition of a Tank in an MMO. A class which gathers the attention of the enemies, weathering their attacks and keeping them clustered together and still so that damage can be easily and efficiently applied. High durability, lower damage.

In solo content, you do fine. No surprise there. In group content? Forget about it. Even as early as the first dungeon, I was sensing a problem when DPS were pulling the bosses off of me. Using my skills that specifically state they grant a 'large amount of emnity' didn't seem to be doing anything. And even skills that said they 'taunted' enemies didn't seem to work at all. In one incident I hit a mob with a taunting ability and it didn't even look at me. Rather obnoxious, since that ability did pathetic damage otherwise.

Bosses are even more annoying, since their 'tells' mostly apply to big AoE attacks that effect everyone. The 'Tank Busters', however, come out with almost no warning. Sure you might realize when they come out, after you get killed by them 2-3 times, since they will pretty much one shot you anyway.

The best 'Tank' in this game is a Wizard running in circles and throwing spells.

Yeah, no joke. Speaking of Wizard, why can they 1-hit you in a duel?? That's completely broken.
