It's kinda confusing that why i'd love to hear your opinions
Same goes for lance btw. Since theres no physical dmg value, it's the magic dmg that increases my dps on mounted combat as a priest/mage?
I haven't made a priest yet. But under your character window there should be a "DPS" stat with numbers next to it.
does someone know that or know a ressource to get to that info?
so the explosivshot and the flak are magical dmg dependant? while the comboskills are physical? but then what do you prefer taking for crossbow?
well found a nice +110 Strength Crest today as a Priest, thought it might come in handy during mounted combat. So i swapped it with the +96 Int Crest i usually use, long story short DPS while mounted dropped by ~50 when i equipped the +Strength Crest. So my guess right now is that mounted combat is based on your usual skill for DPS .
crossbows and lances deal magical damage as well.
If You are a mage or priest all dmg scales like normal even when mounted. To clarify: Mounted mage/priest scales with magic, and mounted guardian/assassin/berserker scales with physical dmg.
All magic stats scale with mounts for Wizards and Priests. That includes Intelligence, Magic Crit Damage/Percent, and Magic Attack.
So as a priest you kinda have to find the equilibrium between intelligence (for dmg) and constitution/+hp to stay alive
Since Mana is a nonfactor in mounted combat, i guess it's best to have the mana+% and willpower stats on your Staff and shield since you swap them with the crossbow/lance for mounted combat
So my thought with the newly clarification was if you plan to use one gear and maximise it:
Armor pieces: Const/+hp > Intelligence
Staff + Shield: Willpower+Mana
Crossbow + Lance: Int > Magic crit Dmg/% + Magic Attack
So i'm tanky in both mounted and normal combat, while boosting my mana with staff and shield that gets swapped with dmg on bow.
I got 4.1k hp and 7.5k Mana but only have a dps of like 350-400, so i think i need to swap some willpower armor items with int base items to be abe to dish out some dmg for the raid or while farming. Or am i completely mistaking here or on the wrong approach for my class? ^^
But i think the cooldown/casttime reduction is important aswell as a priest to maximise healing in dungeons
Thx for your help guys can't wait for the new patch tomorrow :)
theres no point in going for Strenght and Dexterity obviously
