The (un)Taming of Garme & Agnas The Red

So I spent several days of grinding mats(and gold) for Garme and Agnas. Great, I got the mark, right? Nope its insanity, theres too many people trying to tame before the event ends. I find it nearly impossible to get these mounts at this time. The respawn times are ridiculous and make it extremely frustrating. They need to extend the event or make the spawn timers faster. Not to mention the bigger guilds(Greedy mofos) are preventing others from getting the tames. The Devs need to address this. I don't see a future with Garme or Agnas in my life in the next week or so.

They respawn every 45 or so minutes.. just gotta track which channels will spawn at the right time. I just had a guildi get her agnas/garme within 2 hours of each other after some guild support. Now she has that cute golden mount.. I'm honestly envious of her hue hue.

I'm curious what does the event award you? Because collecting all pets for each region is something in-game not an event . So the golden laiku wont be going away anytime soon ?

idk havent read up on it yet , im finishing taming familiars in highlands and leaving garme and agnas to be the last 2

Edit:The event gives skin boxes and a taming title (which is good but nothing that i would regret missing) the golden laiku and the 3 heroic gear for mounts wont go away .

Its not so much the reward. Its the taming bonus right now, meaning you have a better chance to tame during this event.

Its not so much the reward. Its the taming bonus right now, meaning you have a better chance to tame during this event.

And after the even when everyone is level 35 , you will have free agnas and garme everywhere , with the possibility to farm it whenever you have time , unlike now(thats basicly my current plan , focusing every other familiar then trying garme and agnas till update , then hoping the camp of these 2 lessen

I might be forced to wait it out. I have tried but this is ridiculous. I will try when I have time again but I am losing patience.

Its not so much the reward. Its the taming bonus right now, meaning you have a better chance to tame during this event.

People aren't rushing to get these tames right now for that.

There's two simple reasons
First one being the recipes to actually craft the marks just went live not more than a week ago so everything is jumping those heroic mounts like no tomorrow.. especially when you're level 25, geared, and nothing left to do.

Secondly there's a event going on right now that ends in a few days which if you collect every familiar from every region gives you a title that automatically grants -20% off taming from now on.

The prices of the marks will continue to go down, and after the 27th I'm sure there will be very few people trying to tame garme/agnas.

i would really enjoy the twenty percent title, but I guess only big guilds are going to be permitted to get it, yeah not the end of the world, yeah will get it eventually, but ruins the first event in this games life. Some fore thought would be nice when planning events in the future. Everything about this game feels like they are trying to eliminate frustration, and make it a delight to play, this event, these two heroic pets, and how people are farming them, is a huge frustrating let down. I am sure this is not what the developers intended of their players base.

It's really not a big guild kind of thing.
The main issue was they waited so long to hotfix not being able to tame the heroic mounts, and made a event out of it instead so it's a frenzy to get them.
Plus all a bigger guild really just helps watching multiple channels for a spawn etc.

It's not a big deal, there will probably be better titles later. It's just not worth it right now IMO. Wait a few months, maybe, and the marks will be 20g and everyone will have tamed them.

Problem with that is if the next better title is available through a similar event requiring to tame 2-3 heroic familiars before lvl 45 patch.It"ll do the smae thing it does now unless you get into it right on july 27th.

I for one dont mind farming but to a certain extent
i dont want to fight for tags
switch channel every 1min to find an empty spot
get my target killed because i wanted to lower it under 10% before taming
ETC and SO ON.

Lets deviate the topic a little , what could they do to fix these issues WITHOUT making the journey to taming an heroic familair worthless , the answer i found would be more solo or party instance like the one where you find taslan (that creepy big spider) .

Other ideas i had would just make things worst than they are with all the griefing , killsteal and normal players wanting to tame it once .

I agree with most of the points you made and I think that possibly making some of these heroic mounts instanced or some kind of queue to tame. If you miss your spot in line you go to the back and make some kind of incentive for other players to help you. It's a shame that I will most likely miss out on the rewards even though I've been part of the event daily. They should give us the title for login in Daily. It's essentially impossible task with the sheer numbers of people attempting to tame. Pretty bummed out.

And by no mean should they be easy , but everyone should have a chance to find it/tame it , best solution would be to make the mark and materials soulbound so there is no reason to kill it/tame it more than once. Except maybe helping someone . Which would be a good thing

Another Day wasted nothing to show for it, what other choice? run same dungeons over and over next four days? So much let down over this, why? Because once again the developers or game makers leave it up to players to manage, and once again it's ruined by them. Love seeing those guys on the baby heroic dragon or agnas himself getting all the hearts, making a fortune off rest of us who can't get it. Yeah soulbound, instanced or something, cause this event is one big let down for majority of us, thanks once again proven that only big guilds and powerful players further and further ahead, yes, even in your game dispite your efforts. Twenty people all trying to tame / kill a pet and waiting and hour per channel to go through it again only make for salt, and for frustration. If this is what we can expect during events, I for one will make short work of this game. I guess my hopes were just too damn high, i really should have known better

Same i figured a good 6 hrs played today would at least get me garme's mark recipe+daveen essence to try and tame him for the 1sy time , because of competition, be it legit or just to make gold , im at 8 shadow , no recipe , no daveen essence
