Arot - What the heck is it?

So something called a Shining Spirit (which I never knew existed) dropped from a Lavashell Tortoise and it says in its description that its used to "craft a Phoenix Flare, which can tame Arot."
After a quick look through the Beastiary, I couldn't find it, so now I'm wondering if Arot is a not yet released familiar or if its just an old name for the Caldera Firebeak...
Does anyone know about it?

Well the item is part of the flare which is used to capture the Caldera Firebeak, but the "Arot" typo is still there yes.

Just make another, what's the big deal anyway? Then slowly explore the game and stuff, like me. I'm just leisurely grinding achievements right now, not even leveling much.

it would've been so i could see all the stuff i'd collected and what monsters i had compared to any new ones that had been released, i'm not too bothered about new zones and stuff, that's just nostalgia quality
you might not know but has anyone tamed the big red and big blue dragon yet? i stopped played when they had just been released and no one knew how to tame them

Probably been done, there are a bunch of high level people on my server i see busy capturing legendary stuff all the time so yeah, probably. You could check the wiki too if you remember the names of those dragons.

i've no idea what they were called, i know one flew over whatever the capital city is and the other was in a big circular stone arena. i only remember them cos i won a dev competition where you had to romance one of the devs and they took you on an in game date, mine took me to whatever dragon was in the stone place and everyone called me stupid for not asking the dev to catch the dragon for me

Yup Tagris is the only dragon flying around the Capital.
